How are the girls looking?

Hey guys, just wanted to check in with y'all, got some great advice my first go round from this forum, figured I'd see if I could squeeze out a few more gems of wisdom. So yeah, how are the girls looking? They are all from bagseed, bout half from a Kali Mist and half from an unnamed local Indica, plus a couple rando beans here and there. Wanted to get a feel for different geno/phenotypes, and how they responded to the environment here. Some got eaten alive by bugs, others really shot up and thrived. I bagged and tagged the males a couple weeks ago, and painted some pollen onto some of the smaller plants that weren't well climatized, hopefully next generation will be more stand out. Anyhow, How are they lookin' to y'all? Any advice? (Have more plants than pictured but these are pretty representative so you get the gist)

Thanks y'all!! So I went outside to check on the girls today, see if you can spot the hidden protector I found taking care of my bug problem for me (Close ups added as thumbnails if unable to find, but I think it's a fun sorta where's waldo game, I assure you it is visible in the picture)

Just a quick little update, buds are in full bloom right now, figured I'd post some pics since I didn't realize how different they look since my last updates. Sorry they're mostly close ups, was having issues framing a far away photo. Anyways, how do they look?

From the big Indica pheno:

From the big Sativa pheno:

From one of the 50/50 Hybrid pheno

From the little stocky plant I am least looking forward to manicuring, the Leafy Monster

And finally, three shots of this little girl that is making up for her small stature by being absolutely COVERED in crystals, looking straight fuzzy

Nice! Lookin good! A bunch of my plants came from a batch of Kali Mist, it's such a great strain ain't it? Haven't tried Lemon Kush, but anything with Master Kush in it has my faith. Thanks for the kind words my man, if you like the frosties check out one of my lil girl's bud clusters, she isn't the biggest but she is pretty blinged out from head to toe.

Kinda wish I had some quality pollen I could knock her up with, I used the last I had pollinating this little tenacious survivor that I wanted to acclimatize.

MMMMM.... Yummy :weed: !!! - Last time I pollinated something was 'bout 15 yrs ago when I had a small patch of California Orange. It was the first time I hit any bud with pollen and ended up with quite a few, healthy & viable seeds. I grew them out and gave some away to friends. Resulting plants were all nice and "orange" (scent-wise) which is all I hoped to achieve at the time. We've been spoiled by fem seeds lately, but I've thought about getting some really killer genetics in "regular" form and possibly making some interesting hybrids. :leaf:

See, that sounds so awesome to me! The first strain I ever grew was a clone of Agent Orange last year, and Orange Crush was one of the first strains I ever smoked (That is, once names became big, when I first started it was still more named after regions than individual strains) so orange strains have a special place in my heart. I am excited to try some stable and reputable genetics tho, this season was all bagseed for me, didn't want to waste money on quality beans until I knew I could grow them worth a damn haha, but seeing how well the bagseeds have turned out I feel pretty confident I can make them worth it.

I've had good/bad luck with my bagseed from "mids" around here. The Good: I got some nice n healthy females. The Bad: They wanted to absolutely Overgrow my entire space, shooting-out side branches everywhere but south. The Ugly: After dealing with all that shit, the bagseeds refused to flower profusely. SLOW, sparse onset of pistils, I just had to get rid of them to ensure my expensive (quality) strains had room to grow. It was really a shame, since the bagseeds were very vigorous/ healthy and looked & smelled quite nice. Had I more room, I would have taken them till 'flippin November if I had to. I still have about 35 bagseeds I may run 12/12 from seed indoors (so they will never get a chance to get HUGE). I may have to finish them on 8/16, but I'm gonna try to make something worthwhile out of them. Our mids around here = your standard, seedy, sometimes green (brown) shit that "does the job" but tastes like old socks, or otherwise unpalatable. Let me show you what my bagseed monsta' looked like, back in June -

DSCN0702.JPG Bagseed #1 - Right after she showed pistils - ( I started all my bagseeds under 12/12 from seed indoors) and sexed them as early as possible. This pic is just after she was transplanted outdoors.

DSCN0746.JPG The same plant, getting ready to take over the entire garden. HUGE, single-bladed leaves dominated every branch. Very slow, sparse, pistil development - (even our Kali Mist flowered faster). It was a shame to cut her, she had a "tropical, orange-twist" smell that reminded me of the Cali Orange from yrs ago. Maybe I will get a similar, tasty pheno sometime in the future when I give the remaining beans an indoor 12/12 run :weed:

Haha that plant is goin everywhere! It has a really interesting Leaf structure too, lots of one and three bladed leaves. I have two plants that looked so similar to that it's crazy haha, and yeah they are just now starting to throw out pistils when most of my others are fattening up. Check it out

One of the sativas

And now some of the other, more indica/hybrid leaning plants.
Hard to believe that those plants are the exact same age as these ones (pictures also taken the same day). Check out how different the bud structure is, it boggles my mind that the plants are all the same age. I doubt the sativas will finish before mid november at this rate.

Glad I kept them though, they are looking like they gonna be fire too, even the fan leaves (Which are now coming in in 5 bladed sets, they were 1 and 3 for most of veg) are trichey on them. (Leaf from one of the sativas)
