How are my trichs?

One day I will take the training wheels off and won't have to ask you guys this question, but until then... :)

This is with my new digital scope. It's pretty cool. Still difficult to capture the right image though..

I feel that this plant needs 10-20 more days. She is around 55 days into flower.

I see some ambers in the second pic. I'd probably prefer couch lock bud. Maybe 50% amber. Please let me know what the pics tell you.

Hi Sunny, as trichomes will follow maturing for the first drying and curing weeks, I would not wait up to 20 days to harvest. However as maturation will depend of the strain, maybe you can wait so much but, seeing as mature are these ones at 55 days, I'm pretty sure one week will be enough to finish flushing your plants and harvest.

I agree with Wassbi Shot I'd only give your plants 8 more days or so then harvest. Too much amber is not good but your trichs most definetly look cloudy enough to harvest right now but just to be sure wait 8 more days. Unless I'm growing autos I veg for 4 weeks and flower for 9 more. Always and I mean each and every grow produces good quality get stoned to the bone bud. Start learning to trust yourself and you'll gain more confidence.

Thanks everyone, great advice. Much appreciated.. I'll keep an eye on the trichs and also the pistils. I'd like to see my pistils turn darker and curl up a bit. I'll post again next week with fresh pics. It'll be good to have pics to compare to.

I should add that this is CBD Blue shark. 6% and 6%. My thought is that to get the true CBD potential the plant should be allowed to mature a bit longer.

I'm laughing. I look at trichs all day every day and still don't really get it. I just have a problem with recognizing the differences. My vision is off though, so maybe that's part of it.

I'm laughing because I wish there was just a cheap and reliable test kit that would take out the uncertainty. "Rub this piece of paper on your buds.. If it's Blue it's time to harvest, if it's white then it's not ready.. If it's red then congratulations you're pregnant and going to have a baby girl.." :) :)

All in fun, great learning..

By the looks of them, if it were me I'd wait. The breeder recommends 60-65 days for that variety; I generally figure adding at least a week to the breeders estimate.

Ahh, interesting. What do you see that makes you say that? I'm pretty inexperienced at this part so any advice is certainly welcome. Thx![/QUOTEiiiii
i personally find that once they start going amber, they degrade. i think the type of high comes from the genetics of the strain

Nice trichs.....IMO 2 weeks you don't just have a bit a clear but quite a bit of clear still those slightly cloudy trich's will get cloudier ....30-40% amber is what I have always picked up in my research as peak potency ....Got any pics of your bud's as well?

Thanks, I don't have any recent pics from last few days. I'll take some tonight.

I agree with you on the clear trichs.. Its not totally cloudy either.

Ya gotta look at the whole plant too.. I look at the pistils.. etc.. it just looks ripe.. At least another 7 days minimum.
