One suggestion:a huge barel and put some air stones to add oxygen and use a watter pump with a T fiting to distribuite the water! the water pump being on a timer of course ebbflow! there are many other methods as well but are all similar find one you like and run with it!

Herb you have quite a bit to water!

Hey Herbie, glad to see your clones have finally taken off!

I wanted to update you on my grow, as your recall we're growing very similar strains.

First off, be prepared to be in awe of the sheer size of these plants. I don't know if you're gonna grow these inside or outside, but if you're going to go with inside you are gonna need some serious space. These hawaiian girls get TALL!!! They would seriously be growing through the ceiling of my closet into the attic if I didn't have some major manipulation going on. Even with tieing stems down and across, my tallest one is about 6' tall, and the shortest is about 4'. Managing everything has become increasingly difficult and there isn't even any point in trying to clip fan leaves to get bud to the lower sites any more. I just clip dieing stems around the bottom and any old leaves that are falling off and let the rest keep on growing. They were maybe about 2.5' when I started flowering. They have been flowering for over 6 weeks now (45 days), and they are still growing taller and developing new stems and bud sites on a daily basis. They are still not anywhere near ready, I would guess another 3-4 weeks still at the earliest. Under a pocket microscope the trichomes are still undeveloped (no capitate-stalked) and about 90% are white.

On the plus side...I'm guessing that pounds of fabulous pot are to be had off the 6 plants, I had hoped for at least 2 but maybe three. I have a Can Filter 33 hooked up to a 6" vortex and smell is not an issue at all. But when I get down there and smell the plants, it's a very skunky smell. I'll keep you up to date as they progress. But like I said, if you're growing more than a few inside a contained area, don't veg them for long and be prepared for a jungle of marijuana. This grow has surpassed my wildest dreams and we're a month from beginning to harvest

ya i here ya BEV--- i vegged my first six to 5ft tall. and the clones will be in flower ASAP!!~ i dont even wanna let em get to 1ft honestly.... cause my ceilings are not very tall 0 they need to be under 5ft at harvest.

I have gotten a better timer which seems to work satisfactorily. So My light is under control.
I have my new fan kicking 750CFM and the temp is OKish. but its still seems better to keep the door open or it goes to 82F(damn that guy at the hydro store who told me thi'd work FINE *sigh...)

So next is a home for the mothers and watering automation. Plannign to have this finished by end of the weekend. will post updates then.

Should i start the plants on flowering nutes BERFORE or AFTER i change their light schedule??

(I am currently feeding the clones straight water at 6.5PH)

Also I have a K-9 cop living in my neighborhood now...(and i am venting out my window with a homemade carbon filter... on a path he likly walks his pooch. Would a pro filter help? Would venting to the attic help??? Any other thoughts appreciated.

aaaaarrrgggh. that dog will smell the pot through the filter. get it out of the window. dont risk it i would get a pro filter and vent to the roof. but be carefull, the dog`s nose is way more sensitive than ours.
remember that the carbon also has a distinct odour.

on a better note. i would start the 12/12 and at the same time hit it with a 1/4 mix of bloom and something for nitrogen still. then in a couple weeks when it starts to take off it will be at a good bloom nute strenght.

when you say roof do you mean attic- where is can dissapate? As opposed to installing an actual vent on the roof where it can move out above the house?

ya vent it through the cieling into the attic. mabee by the time it leaves in there to outside it may not smell to bad.
be carefull, it aint worth going to jail. so close though

right- i definately dont want to risk that.

Are the pots I have sufficient to flowering in? or should i transplant? if so when?

they need to stay under 4 ft for the sake of my ceiling and would like to maximize bud production.

Also If i flowered them as is how big would they get? would the small pot size simply stop them from growing too large or will it actually cause them problems during flowering?

SHould they be transplanted asap? or should i wait till they need it/after flowering has begun?

sup, herb?!? i just skimmed through this and am, first very proud of your accomplishments, and second looking very excited to see what.. pops up lol

hit me up if ya need help, i'll see what i can do!!

--

if u flowered now, they'd triple in size... clones can go straight into flower...

so u want 4ft tall finished plants, flower around 16"

good rule of thumb for container size is: you want one gallon for every month you plan to grow it..

I'd wait until they take in the cups... then trans plant them AT LEAST once more

peace

i agree with his size for flowering, about 1to 1.5 feet and just put them into 2 to 3 gallon pots 7 to 10 days before 12/12. to adjust first

Hey Herbie, I just wanted to reiterate my statement on how I let these girls get too big before flowering. I will tell you I have a fucking JUNGLE of marijuana growing under my 1000W HPS and they've been flowering for 67 days, and it's going to be a week before I even start flushing. When you get advice from these people telling you that they do their plants in 90 days start to finish, remember they are talking about Indicas and we are growing 100% Sativa Hawaiian ladies. From germination to harvest, this strain will have taken over 5 months. And that's for my most mature plant. I have a feeling that a couple of the plants will be pushing 6 months start to finish. They grow slow, they grow tall, they grow bushy, and they are fucking magnificent! It has bordered on almost being unmanageable for my closet for over a month now, but I still expect that even on my first grow, with plenty of fuckups, that I'll be getting pounds of rewards.

This past week I've been quick-drying some samples and I've never had pot that made my whole head and face feel so warm and fuzzy as this Hawaiian. If this is only a hint at the final product (which is like 2 months away), it's gonna be a great holiday season this year!

thanks for the confirmation- i moved pic one and 4 out of the room as someone else suggested they were def male-

But what about the others??

Are the ones which are budding/flowering(and have a bulb thingy in the middle of the flower) creating seeds or what is happening to them?

ya 1 and 4 were male and it is hard to tell in those shots but i would say either they have huge calyxes or it`s hermie.
give it more time and see if anything happens in them

HerbieSmith

what about 1 and two here? Hermie? they look very different from the other plants however they have like 8 or ten bud sites already on this plant! so i was hoping not to discard...

1 and 2 are males and looks like it already popped it`s pollen on the first one. are those little yellow banana lookin things open. if so you have been pollinated now.

the 3rd is a hermie i think. is there those little yellow bananas on those buds. it will probably start to produce seeds.

what strain are these again
