As a rule I don't trust or vote for republicans but I got to work with what I got so here is the response from my rep about my supportive e-mail in favor of HB4271 (provision centers)
Dear Aaron,

Thank you for your letter on HB 4271, a measure whichallows for medical marijuana dispensaries. As the bill comprehensively seeks to authorize and establish aregulatory regime for, and local control of, dispensaries, this office issupportive of advancement of the idea that Michigan residents first put intoplace in 2008; to allow access to medical marijuana. Simply put, sick people should not suffermerely because government has not enacted a standardization of process noroversight for quality control.

HB 4271 was turned in before Representative Shirkey couldaffix his signature as a co-signer to his colleague's bill. Our office looksforward to the discussion on the matter which will reveal opportunities andproblems within the process.

We appreciate the time you took to alert us to thisissue.

Respectfully in service,

Mike Shirkey's Office

From a republican I start to fear the words standardization, oversight and quality control but I have to support a bill that opens up the dispensaries so here it is. Anyone else send letters/e-mails and get any responses? See you april 9 on the steps everyone.

I personally think that politicians in general are evil, they don't live in the same reality as you and I. The only politician I have ever supported is Ron Paul, who happens to be a republican. I honestly don't think I will ever officially pick a side no matter who earns my support.

As for house bill 4271, I am in favor of it but I think its far from perfect. I believe Michigan needs dispensaries and 4271I might be the only thing to save them. What I believe to be the most important issue in Michigan medical Marijuana law is completely overlooked by this bill, and that is the fact that patient to patient transfers needs to be legal. I don't see any legitimate reason why patients shouldn't be allowed to share their medicine with other patients. P2P being illegal is really the foundation that made dispensaries illegal, and that is the problem we need to fix...

....... What I believe to be the most important issue in Michigan medical Marijuana law is completely overlooked by this bill, and that is the fact that patient to patient transfers needs to be legal. I don't see any legitimate reason why patients shouldn't be allowed to share their medicine with other patients. P2P being illegal is really the foundation that made dispensaries illegal, and that is the problem we need to fix..........

they are going to 'fix' it--:bigjoint:

thats why they made it illegal now for us as pts to 'give/share' it w each other--

U think the SC ruling was a coincedence...?...
.it's goin on across the country-"regulation" thru their design..
the SC ruling was a well intentioned ruling by design to set this up--IMO

wat about all the saturation news articles screaming this needs to be supported....
--every other day....????

wait till the smart meters come online to expose all the indoor folks who don't want to support and participate w this-
they will be able to 'monitor' u one way or other-
they will flush all the $out one way or another and the dispensary owners will hand it to them thru our rights to share it-

--they get to capitalize it....'we' don't---
i can appreciate the youth here that has a limited grasp---and their 'heart'---but...

'they' are going to make you go thru dispensaries....if you want to be compensated/sell it....
or the "impossible to make a living off it".........CG-5pts

forget FMs...or any other distribution model--this will be the end of them---unless they can tightly regulate and tax every $
u ever listen to politicians "promises"....? ---smoke and mirrors...

this way(4271)they can track it and tax the fukoutof you by giving u a 1099 at the end of the year from all the dispensaries u 'sell' it to--and u better not get caught trying any other way....it will be very very"illegal"

u ever try and get ur meds in a dispensary...?...haha
now that everyone and their grandma is growing it and trying to sell it...?
you better be a "perfect" grower-

they get to 'sell' it---or give it away

WE can't --period.-----and guess who gets the mo$t out of it......

first step in corporate/state control......and the end of ur 'pipe' dreamz

why didn't any groups put upafightfor pts rights....??.....wat we voted on---?

this is my take..and 'response'....don't hate me-:eyesmoke:

Get Smart ! Say No To Smart Meters

Posted on January 21, 2013 by Wounded Warrior
Some Michigan Residents have already fallen victim to DTE Energy’s Meter swap out program.
I’d like to start by giving you some information about smart meters as the energy company has offered very little information to it’s customers.Smart meters are considered smart because the are “connected” to the network-and it’s not just a connection to the network but the units also talk to each other passing on information on a sort of inter-web.
This intrusion of privacy also pulls 3 watts of energy that YOU pay for and the device is suppose to make around 10,000 transmissions per day,on average.
It has been noted that one was measured to make 150,000 transmissions on one companies system and when asked, was never given a reason for such a high number.
One of the biggest changes that most have reported since a smart meter upgrade have been a rise in their bills, some have been shocked by a bill that has tripled.
They now have an ability after the upgrade that I call“The Santa Clause”They See You When Your Sleeping-They Know When Your AwakeThey Know If You’ve Been Bad Or Good(because marijuana is still federally illegal, they consider it bad)So be Good (Don’t Accept A Smart Meter ) for Goodness Sakes! These highly spiking microwave energies are known to cause health problems to sensitive individuals such as headaches & nausea, rapid or irregular heartbeat and are suspect of cancer causation among other issues.
Do you or a member of your family have…
smart meters in action
Cancer
Insomnia
Dizziness
Headaches
High Blood Pressure
Heart Palpation
Memory Loss
Lack of EnergyTinnitus (Ringing in Ears) Lack of Concentration
Numerous scientific studies from around the world have shown some of these symptoms may be caused by RF (microwave) radiation. Smart meters, cell phones, cell sites, cordless phones, and baby monitors are a few of the devices that emit RF (microwave) radiation.

When the guy comes to your home with a meter in his hand my best advise to you would be to send them packing, then do your home work and make an informed decision.(~wounded warrior~)
I have spoken with DTE Energy and of course the Representative makes DTE look good by pointing out that DTE is currently implementing an opt out program-and is the first in the industry to voluntarily to do so-due to customer concerns, but they have already been to court on the subject so I really don’t consider that to be a voluntary action.
Once the meter has been changed there are very few options until the courts approve it and DTE comes out and changes the meter.
Here is the option many, myself included, have taken.Buying a analogmeter (your previous meter was analog if it had mechanical dials) and replacing it,making “YOU” the owner of the meter and the master of your health & privacy. It’s not that hard of a process as you will see in the video below.

There’s hope for consumers that already have Smart Meters, you can purchase an analog meter with everything you need in a kit to change your meter safely.
Click Here To Purchase Your Meter & Take Back Your Freedom! You will be sending a notice to DTE Energy’s CEO but no address is provided in the kit. Here is that information:Gerald M. AndersonDTE Energy1 Energy PlazaDetroit,MI 48226 Link to DTE Energy’s proposed OPT OUT Program
