Hot spring days and lack of rain for newly planted out clones

I put out my clones about a week ago and haven't had any rain at all. The soil was somewhat moist when I put them in and I managed to water them a little earlier on in the week. Its been really hot for the past 5 days and dry. Will they start to wilt and die? Do I have to water them way more often? I guess the roots start searching for water right??

I put 40 clones in the ground and we had a hot day a week later of 88 degree. But only 1 clone looked thirsty. I gave it some water and the next day it was looking fine.

Just inspect them and see if they need a watering. For the first week or two clones are vulnerable to drying out because the roots are not fully established.
