Hot shot no pest strip placement?

Anyhow, what are your experiences with dichlorvos and carbon scrubbers? I have a massive 6 foot tall filter that is configured to act as a scrubber powered by a 12 inch inline. Other than that my room is mostly sealed.

I added 4 strips to my 10'x20' 8000 watt flower room and all seemed to go well after about 4 days I stopped seeing thrips/aphids (having a small case of both at the same time currently) throughout the room. After not entering the room for 2 days I came in to see the aphids are still either gone or being killed quickly upon birth but the thrips don't seem to be phased much by it. They have multiplied in numbers and beginning to become a more serious issue.

I'm wondering if either

A) my carbon scrubber is destroying all of the dichlorvos in the air before it can build up to toxic levels (it scrubs 24 hours a day)

or

B) My dual-hose portable A/C may not be sealed afterall like the hydro store told me (the portable AC's are coming out and being replaced by a mini-split as soon as this crop is all finished)

Anyone have any advice aside from the usual "Kill the plants and start over" or "XXXXX chemical by XXXXX company is good stuff"

I'm hoping people don't take this the wrong way but I'm not interested in advice about other methods of pest control. I've put at least 20 hours worth of research into dichlorvos now and I'm totally sold on the safety of it when used properly and I have seen how quickly they can eradicate any cannabis pest when used properly. I am well aware of all different forms of pest control and their proper use, and I like plenty of them better than dichlorvos but dichlorvos happens to be the method I have chosen. I simply wish to avoid wasting peoples time if anyone plans on typing out something trying to convince me to use a different method. I would normally be wide open to any knowledge but I'm just tired of explaining why I have chosen dichlorvos, while hearing somebody argue repeated information about why I should use something else.

Perhaps I am stubborn. I just hope I don't come off as rude and arrogant :/

I bet the scrubber is messing them up. They dont last 4 months like they say so you might need some new ones I recommend hanging them on a fan they burn out quicker but its more effective at first

I think I will reprogram my scrubber timer tonight so that it stays off for the whole dark period and kicks on about an hour or so before my light exhaust fans kick on. My room is sealed up pretty good but I know how bad the stink can penetrate and spread. My exhaust ductwork and reflectors are sealed up pretty good so that there is no + or - pressure when they run but I still worry about the smell escaping after building up all night and suddenly having the exhaust kick on. Not worth the chance considering the neighborhood I live in is the type of place where a half dozen guys with masks will kick in the door, tie up and possibly kill somebody, and rob me if they found out what is in my spot. I'll just pay extra close attention for the first few days of the scrubber being off during the dark.

TBO i dont think you should use the scrubber until you get the pests under control. If you start with 4 new strips all you will smell are the hot shots. It should overpower the smell of the plants do what I said hook a couple on a fan and blow them at the plants. Spinosad works good for thrips btw.

Just last week somebody was shot and killed directly across the street from me, then the exact same house was raided 2 separate times in 2 weeks, about 3 weeks before the murder over there. As far as spinosad, I plan to use it on the next cycle but half of these plants will be finished in about 10 days and the other half will be finished in about 18 days. I do not want to spray anything that will leave residue behind, and I believe it would take much too long systemically via soil drench. I wiped them out with azamax once but then the basement sat for a couple months with dead leaves on the ground and just generally very dirty. This time they have come back with a vengeance. I'm actually thinking of buying the house next door to me (only 2500$) and switching my operation to that basement. I could wire motion sensors and bury the wires underground and have them lead back to my security system in this house, that way if anyone tried to break in, I would know it and they wouldn't know that I know. Otherwise, I do NOT feel like tearing everything down and cleaning up only to rebuild in the same spot. Might as well move next door and expand my op.
