Hot Sauce!!!

Well I finished harvesting all my peppers and made some hot sauce! I had cayenne, cajun bell, king-pao hybrid, jalapeño, serrano, and red chili grown from seed. Thanks to the kick ass summer we've had up in the northwest (sunny everyday since July 5th lol) I had a very prolific harvest. Way more peppers than I expected! So here's is my first batch, wish it was a little hotter. I'm not removing any seeds or pits next time before blending.

The flavor is amazing, this batch had a mix of all the peppers, with some onions garlic and a wee bit of sea salt and white vinegar of course. I might just add some capsaicin to add more heat to these delicious flavors.

Next time I'm throwing in Habeneros :fire:

It could stand to be hotter, IMO. It's got about the same heat as Tabasco. But the peppers when they were raw were stupid hot, not so much after cooking and blending. Sauce is really easy to make, and last a while too.

I know I'm kinda late, but I have 4 Habanero plants going now, bunches of bud sites :)
I think next year I may try looking for some Ghost Pepper seeds!

not rlly that spicey ...but i don't like real spicy...blocks all the flavor
Spicy is good, as long as it has flavor to go with it. Just plain hot gets boring. All the different types of peppers have flavor of their own.
I've got probably 5 different types of hot sauce in the cabinet, not counting the "must haves" like Tabasco, Texas Petes, Frank's Red Hot, Shiraichi, not to mention I always keep a couple bottles of crushed red pepper:p
That's got me curious, Peyote's sauce sounds good.

Fuck yeah it's good. I was seriously surprised how flavorful it is, and not too hot. I'm thinking about mass producing this shit!
