Never, NEVER eat random shrooms unless identified by a professional.

Death can occur within hours if lookalikes are consumed.

Death by poisonous mushroom is one of the most painful, excruciatingly long ways to die.

There are some many different varieties it is 100 percent not safe for an amateur to identify edible mushrooms.

It's one thing to be looking for chicken or hen of the Forrest because these edibles are easily identified, but:

"Shroom" look alikes can be extremely hard to identify accurately and extremely poisonus.

Also a bad spore could be located on the group of shrooms or two separate species could be in one spot, contaminating eachother.

Unless you truly Know what your doing you should never eat random mushrooms especially "shrooms"

Fly amantia being the the most dangerous (Mario mushroom)

Just because it bruises blue don't mean it ain't poisonous

i have eaten random shrooms myself when I was younger, and got extremely sick.

Luckily it wasn't a deathly poisonous shroom, or I'd be dead.

If you happen to ingest random shrooms and become poisoned use: Milk Thistle (pill form) then get hospitalized

It counteracts the bad voodo in your gut and allows you to safely poop contaminants out before absorbtion

I'm guessing that if you dry them out and send a sample off to someone, they can be identified. They will store a long time dried. Blue streaking is definitely a good sign.

more mushroom myths.

the only relatively sure way to identify a mushroom is with a scanning electron microscope comparative examination of the spores. Even here there are disputes.

that is nit to say that mist mushrooms cannot be identified by examining all growth phases of the fruit coupled with a knowlege of habitat, chemical reactions, spore colt, staining properties, substrate, smell, region and acompanying organisms.

bluing PLUS spore color IN north America is a good way of determining cubensis.

of course there is general familiarity. Shaggies are unmistakeable, except at an early stage the can resemble puffballs. Puffballs in north America are all edible but the early stages of amenita look like puffballs.

I harvested my corn crop (why I have been unavailable to some of you for a few days. I encountered a ice crop of corn blight. It was .y first time with this Mexican delicacy. Lord they look gross. But fried in butter and onions and spred on a tortilla they tasted reminiscent of truffle flavored sweet corn.

even plurotus has a look alike that can cause extreme gastric distress.
