I have six, blue mystic auto strains from Nirvana. Im growing them in a 24inch high box. My poor amount of lighting seems to be doing them well while their young but I know their gonna have it hard flowering with such pathetic lighting. Im using three, 14w cfls, 6700k. So guys, what do you think I could yield with this?

You'll get some herb. Never know your actual yield until it's dried and weighed. Buy more lights dude! CFL's are cheap and I've had a lot of success with them in tiny grow boxes. I have some deadly Habaneros growing in my old CFL box, the whole ceiling is all lights. The trick is to use as many as you can possibly fit in your space. There are also small HPS lights available for cheap at most hardware stores.

That looks like a sweet little cabinet. Don't play yourself. The extra light will pay for itself tenfold in tasty pungent nuggets. For every $10 flouro fixture you don't buy, you'll lose several grams per run.

ok thanks alot, but its an extremely small box and Yea it could hold another 4 cfls but how to get them in there is the question...

I would either swap those three out for blubs with a higher wattage, or get some Y splitters and double them up. Another thing to take into consideration is venting more bulbs. More/bigger bulbs = more heat.

Why the fuck is YIELD even a concern ? You should worry more about getting better equipment and more space.

yea as a minimum .. atlest buy 3 Y splitters and 3 more bulbs and double your light ..

even better get some 23W bulbs insted .. also 3 new insted of them 14W ..

dunno how big you can go with CLFs with the "normal" sockets ?

but try to get some more bulbs and some high`r watts in ther .. its your biggest problem .. rest look good ..

would be kind a foolish to use 200$ on that box and what ever on seeds aso. and then dont use 20-40$ more to upgrade them lights ..

I would mostlikely trash them lights all together .. screew em out and take some mesurments and buy a nice T5HO fixture that can fit the space ..
can allways use them small CLFs later on for side lightning or to start seedlings out side on a table etc.

and its easy to get more lights in ther .. you just open the box and trow em in .. no realy .. come on please .. use commen sens and some logic .. no offend .. I guess you aint working with your hands on daily bases as I am ..

but dont your light/hydro system aso. have a wire going out of the box ? .. conect them ther .. run the wiers out the same spot

or "steal" the power from the wiers allready in ther (remove all plugs from the box .. clip the wire .. fit a wire connector and connect boath lamps to the power cord ..

no problem .. specialy with CLFs .. I have done it with my 3 lamps (2x49W T5HO) so I just have one wire to connect to my plug in the wall ..

just be carefull and remember to unpluk all wires before working with eletricity ..

p.s.
my best guess would be 2 grams per plant with the light you got now ..

with 3 Y splits and 6 23W bulbs I reccon 10-20 grams a plant maybe ...

a nice 4-6 bulb 2 feet T5HO fixture with 2700K bulbs and the CLFs for side lightning and you might be able to get 1-2 oz per plant ..

just guesses .. dont blame me :D

pps.

I belive your Box is made for low light plants .. like orkides or sumthing .. not for weed .. hydro system and the Box in its self look good and solidt ..

but light is a joke .. can only start seedlings if you ask me .. you cant even move em down ..
(I would sttill remove that pump and relocate it on the out side so I could move the plants up and down)

I bet you could Veg for like ... ever useing that light and the plants would never mature realy .. and for flowering .. well forget it ..

Yeah, that box looks like it was made for cloning. What's under those pots? Is that aero or something? Definately go for 23w cfl, 42 if you can get them.
And scrog.

Thanks for all the info people I really appreciate it. And i know my lighting situation sucks really ********* bad.. Heres a very important question I need some good answers to. Would it be better to rip out 3 of the plants or keep growing all six and somehow see if i can fit more bulbs in the sh*t box?

I would leave all 6 .. dont rip them appart (just veg short and make a Sea of green in ther)

no ... what I would rip out is them 14W bulbs ..

get them 3 Y splits and as big Watt CLFs you can fit in them .. and try to get 3x2700K and 3x6500K if possible and mix em ..
that would for sure give you some yild .. atlest sumthing smokeble ..

and try to relocate the pump .. I bet it have to be high`r then the pots so just move it up so you also can move the pots up .. stack sumthing in under .. books .. what ever .. must be possible .. with CLFs you want em 2-4 inch abov your plant tops .. also why Ppl. suggest sea of green ..

I would probably keep all 6 plants, and replace the lights with six 23w 2700k cfl using y splitters, and train them if they get too big, or take some out.

Ok, so I was able to add a couple more cfls. On the top I have three 24w, 5000k cfls and on the right side I put three 14w, 6700k bulbs. Has this done me anygood at all? And now that ive done this I cant raise the plants up or the side cfls will be touching the plants!!

I had to tooth pick one of them to get her to stand straight. And one of the plants leaves are aiming upward..

Can anyone tell me what those Y light outlets are called, trying to find them online. Also is it something I will have to screw into a socket adapter plug or can I plug it in. I'm working with a PC grow and I have more space for another bulb.

I dunno, I got 2 from home depot for like 1.50$ a piece I think. They screw into a light socket, but they do make light sockets that plug straight into an outlet.... the OP has some in his pics... then just put the splitter in it.

Those lights should be good to veg for a while, but if that's the space you have to grow you might want to consider flowering right away and doing a SoG or fim/lst ScroG setup. Either way, better do some reading before those get too big.
