Honey Oil...? butane? iso? hexane? turpentine?

okay i been doing alot of research on making the best honey oil but there is alot of crazy stuff out there, i dont want to make anything that can harm me or any of the people i let smoke the stuff, i know honey oil is the purest and best extract, i want it bahaha

so i been reading this forum

its pretty old but it seems like there is alot of good info on there but i been doing some research on hexane and it sounds extremely dangerous and can cause cancer and affect the nervous system =/ i have also read somewhere about organic solvents, i want to make a good pure honey oil but dont want to risk my health or anyone elses, what are some better options for a solvent? what are options for organic solvents? and do they work? im just trying to get a better idea of the whole honey oil process so i can give it a good try with my trim

I just spent a few minutes reading the first few pages of that link Cat. Then I looked at the wiki for hexane says, "They are widely used as cheap, relatively safe, largely unreactive, and easily evaporated non-polar solvents." And I am going to try this. It so happens I have quite a bit of MALES %^%#@$ to do something with.

What I have done is used a can of butane to produce some very thick oil. I took a 2' length of 2" PVC and drilled 1 hole in one cap and 6 holes in the other endcap. Then I dumped in my ground shake, closed the tube with the caps and inserted the butane dispenser tube into the single hole. I shot all the butane into the tube and left it above a dish. Half an hour later I came back to find some decent oil. The only problem with this method is the fact that the butane is HIGHLY flammable and if any of the vapors hit an ignition source there will be one hell of an explosion.

another problem u might find is the leeching of chems from the pvc, ide say stainless steel or possibly copper.

that sounds scary, hexane seems to be the best route in getting the purest honey oil but hexane seems extremely difficult to find, and as i was doing more reading it seems that there are more than one type of hexane and purchasing the wrong kind can cause alot of health issues, im guessing one is commercial grade for making oil extracts and the others arent,

Why do you think honey oil is the most pure? You need to try some full melt bubble hash! ONLY the good stuff! made with ice and water, no bull**** chemicals like with oils!

Mhhhhhhhh full melt nothing like some full melt the taste and high is the best fuc* chemicals!!!!!! Ice plus water, bubble bags, power drill and cement drill bit with the rounded edges mhhhh pure gold.....

even if I only got 50% thc bubble hash, it's still more pure than oils! Say you get 95% (not likely) oil, the other 5% is still S****Y chemicals. Lets say they do it at home and get 80%, Thats is a whole 20% there that you REALLY shouldn't be smoking! If the bubble hash was only 50%thc the other 50% is plant matter! I would much rather take 2 rips of some Pure stuff! Than even 1 rip of chemicals! I had a bho maker, IMO BHO is junk! The OP was talking about the safest for him/her and the people smoking, the safest is no chemicals!

yea i was actually trying to see if anyone heard of organic solvents, i read it on wikipedia but thats the only place. but yea that bubble hash looks tight i seen some bags on ebay for 29 bucks with shipping, so sub cool doesnt take a mixer too it? just a spoon? sounds better so all the weed doesnt get broken up

you want to get an 8 bag set just to make sure you get all the different size bags so you can make some really pure stuff!

hmm c02 bho extractions dont have any "chemicals" in it.

the proper term is supercritical co2 extraction. Pretty cool stuff but a bit expensive.

Fresh trim concrete mixing bit bubble bags ice and water you wont even worry about plant matter 10 mins stirring is the norm. The bags have different sized screens and you keep the best for yourself and sell the rest or give it away. You end up with a bunch of different grades of hash but if you do it fresh you dont get as much plant matter and you get more of the goodness then with a spoon tried both ways.....Dry trim hand working it wet trim hand working it and with a drill and wet trim is the best and gives you the purest full melt...... at least for me...

Water hash is nice...and surprisingly potent...but honey oil is stronger...i suggest using hexane if you can get it. if not, try to find PURE butane...

stoooooopid! you act like the extra 20% in some 80% BHO is bad? The only things it could possibly be are plant matter or butane, and when you light your shit up in a bong, pipe, or whatever, what do you think is coming out of your lighter? ......yup, BUTANE. So now explain why having a little extra butane compared to 50% organic matter is better. Plant matter is what gives you the hack and cough. Its what has tar and creates carbon black. BHO is cleaner than full melt any day
