happy saturday everyone!

i got some pics from my blue cream sampling experiment from wednesday night. i wasn't too stoned to take them, but i was too stoned to post them :)

ok brothas, here's a few pics from last wednesday. i picked a "representative" little bud off the side of one of blue cream's main colas, inspected it with the loupe, looked at some trichs with the 60x scope, cut it up in little pieces, consulted with stoneyluv, and vaped the shit out of it... here's the retrospective evidence:

If that lil nug got you baked just imagine when its dried and cured for at least two weeks , and you throw a gram in a blunt. It'll have you stuck like frankenstein lol

i have to check out that SF con
hopefully and i can kill two birds w/ one stone
by getting some FREE stuff and my medical card all in one day haha

thanks man! like i say, i'm kind of a light weight. i cannot finish a 1 gram joint in one sitting, no way. half gram is about how much i can handle and then i'm too stoned to even finish the jay haha. i'm happy about that though cause it makes it last longer :)

man i hope you do go to the sf convention bro. i got my card at one of these about a year ago. best $99 i ever spent :) . and now prices are lower, somewere around $50 or $60. it's a crazy world we live in lol.

by the way, i'm trying out micro's custom made avatar, not sure if it's "animating"...

Man, well at least I didn't miss the pics. Very nice, glad that fresh bowl got you ripped, definately a good sign! lol...Anyway, I like the avatar micro made for y, and I saw the original "blinking" one when he first posted it, but it's not animated as your avatar. And yeah, I already told my GF to make plans to go up to the bay for the SF Con, so you guys better be there! haha

that is good news meta, good news. i'll be there for sure. i'm gonna work on a new animated avatar, need a couple days of creative inspiration but i'm sure it'll be a good one :)

guys, i think the choppings are coming very soon, in a matter of days. i'll post some pics tonight, but basically the plants "look done" to me. i don't see much in the way of new pistils, i haven't noticed buds getting any bigger for the last few days. i've been looking at trichs and i can't really tell what's going on, but i just have a feeling they're ready. plus the longer i wait, the more chance the P.M. has to return.

so, the plan is gonna be something like this (subject to modification if i change my mind or if you guys think i'm nuts)...
- sunday, give them a nice flush
- tuesday night turn off the lights for good
- tuesday pm -> friday am let them sit in darkness
- friday early am, trim and hang to dry
- sunday pm or monday am, put in jars and start the cure

how does that all sound?

Sounds good, I'm about to trim a few branches off of Lefty, maybe even tonight, so I can get 'em dried and have almost a week cure for Vegas, and then maybe chop the rest down within a week probably...It's a day by day process, but I'm planning on checking trich's tonight after lights come on (for the 2nd time ever with Lefty). Eager to get some new space in the flowering tent, I'm thinking I have a possible 18 clones coming, and if half root, that'll be 3 sets of clones going into flower like 2 weeks apart, just letting some veg out longer...Man, looking forward to a good trim session and a smoke report from you in the next week or so!

I have tried the G13 Amnesia Haze now right after drying, and after a week of curing and, wow, what a difference. Really trippy, energetic high with only a week of curing. Should be great after 3 weeks or so...

So... on the lights out tip, you are leaving them in darkness for 2 1/2 days? That is interesting. I am really curious to see what effect that has - wish we could do a controlled blind to test for the effect on resin production.

Anyways I'm so happy that this grow is going great for ya man. Goodwork. Misty doesnt looks so well but maybe with some TLC she can produce some THC hahaha (weed joke cuase I'm stoned lol). that's exciting meta, taking a few branches off lefty? gonna have to check your thread right after this. man i spent all day smoking purple d + sour d today, what a great day. a lot of sun today up in the bay area :) . you know i'm gonna meticulously photograph the trim and everything, and hopefully write up several smoke reports!

oh man, that's so great to hear about your amnesia. congrats bro! that's really cool, we will meet up one day and exchange samples of amnesia. the 2 1/2 days of darkness is what stoneyluv recommends (actually he does 3 full days, but my schedule makes that though). i might actually cut the light hours during the next few days to 10 on / 14 off to "warn" them :)

haha thanks for the props dude! much appreciated. the blue cream smells so sweet and delicious. the amnesia smells piney. i like the smell of blue cream much better. but to me it's more about the type of hiiiiiiiigh, and i love the amnesia i've tried from dispensaries, it's great shit. good luck with misty, man, i hope she pulls through for you. gonna check your thread in a sec to find out how things are going.

I know, your thread is unstoppable...lol...I did the deed and chopped a few, can't wait till you chop yours. I'm probably gonna give the rest of the plant a little longer, and I think I'll isolate her in a day or 2 and try a 3 day darkness period. I have a leftover cab I built a long time ago that I've been wondering what to do with, so this seems like a good purpose for it. Keep up the good work, brother!

that sounds good, i wish i could harvest in parts, but we have a friend staying in that room for a few days and it'll be awkward to harvest while she's there, i only have a couple hour window of time...unless i wait another full week, but that seems to long. i think my plants are heat stressed and dry, and i don't think they're gonna reverse course and start fattening up again, plus with the powdery mildew and looking at the state of the buds, might as well finish sonner....anywho, just ramblin' stoned here, thanks for the props brosky. and your last set of pics and vids was awesome, forgot to mention that.

Here are my "are they done?" pics. They have been on 12/12 for nearly 8 weeks. They're supposed to be 10-week'ers but they look "done" to me, not popping out much new pistils. It's been hot and dry in the box, so the leaves are getting a little crispy. The trichs.... well you can see for yourself, I can't really tell lol. I'm thinking of starting darkness on Tuesday...

What do you guys think? Are they done?

Looks good to me, the Blue Cream I would definately feel comfortable with harvesting, I might give the Amnesia a few more days, but I'm sure you can go anytime on both and you'll be happy with the results. I'm beat, man, I just spent the last 3 hours working on the grow, prepping soil, prepping party cups(poking drainage holes), etc. I checked on my beans I started germing last night...most of 'em popped, well 11 of 19 so far, not bad for 24 hours...I have my doubts about a couple seeds that were looking dinky, but I'm happy so far! I really wish you could grow outdoors with me, and really man, you should start some clones or beans for a guerilla grow...Just plant 'em in the spring and come back and check in the fall...can't hurt, right?

BTW, MOST of the THSeeds freebies popped, all but one, actually, and it was a dinky seed...I'm super happy with this breeder so far, at least their germination rates.

I also agree with the above comments.... Tuesday darkness sounds great for the big blue.... but i would wait a week to ten days on the amnesia. I have a bubblegum that looks to be right on track with your amnesia... they look very similar in maturity. I'll have to take a photo later today for you to see. but hell yea dude you are soooo close!!!! after all the PM BS it's all gonna pay off in the next few days!!!!

that's great dude about the seeds. 11 of 19 is a great success rate already, and you'll probably get more in the next 24 hours. when i chop my ladies i will see what i can do, maybe reveg and then clone and then guerilla grow? i still haven't found any good spots around me, and i can't start an indoor grow for a while, but if it's easy enough to reveg + clone, i might as well do it, not much to lose other than a few popcorn buds that i'd leave on the plants instead of harvesting, right?

thanks for the advice brotha. i kinda thought you guys would say that, but actually hearing it from you and meta and stoney (below) definitely sways me in that direction. i'll try to devise a new chop schedule so i can keep amnesia growing another 5-7 days :)

by the way arch, can you give me any tips on going from harvest to reveg? i might try it just to fuck around. how much foliage/buds did you leave on?

thanks very much stoney, i was hoping you'd jump in with some harvesting advice. in your perpetual, do you give each plant 8 weeks? or do you vary it a lot by plant and maturity? anyway, i'm getting convinced by you guys to let amensia go a bit longer, and the good thing is that she's dry enough that the PM has stayed away from her for a while. blue cream is more vulnerable so it'll be good to chop her soon :)

when i started I would harvest them at 8 weeks to the day. only because i was out of weed though. now just try to keep at least 10 plants in the flower box... that way if one isn't ready that week maybe another one will be. I have harvested plants as early as 6 weeks into flowering. honestly I never noticed a difference in the potency just a difference in size. the buds put on most of their weight in the last one to two weeks of their life. so if I can keep them a little longer i do. I just really hate amber trics. that is when i noticed a potency change. I 100% believe that amber trics are the THC breaking down and degrading all the potency. just my $.02 though... I'm not a botanist.
