Homemade ventilation system for cool tube

I started out using an 8 inch inline fan from HD and very little air movement. The cooltube and attached ductwork was hot to the touch with the inline on.

Using a Stanley squirel type fan ($45) I solved the problem. I constructed a wooden box measuring 12 inches by 12 inches by 12 inches. I cut a hole in the box so when the Stanley fan was placed inside, the intake on the Stanley matched up with the hole in the box. I then cut a hole to a 6 inch by 4 inch conversion duct would fit to catch the air coming out of the fan. I then cut a hole in the grow room wall and placed a shelf underneath it. I then hooked up the dryer type hose to the box 4 inch end and then to the cooltube. Then I simply placed the Stanley in the box and placed the box on the shelf and pushed it tight against the wall. Turned on the fan and presto.

The movement of air is incredible and the cooltube is now cool to the touch. I have three speeds to choose from. Including the fan, ductwork and box the whole project cost about $60 compared to the price of a high output inline which is about $140. Check out the pics and give a holler with any questions.
