I had this problem when I first setup my home made aeroponic unit. Get some window weatherstripping, and put it on the inside part of the lid. Measure how big the lip is on the actual tub, and put your Weatherstripping inside the lip of the lid. May want to get some spring clamps to help hold the lid on tigther. I've found that helps a good bit as well. Once I had the weatherstripping put into place, I've had no other issues with leaking. Hope this helps.

Well, from what I read, the ONLY rubber tote that will not leak is Rubbermaid Roughneck. But if you can seal the leaks on that one, good deal!

well, I use an Aerocloner and I run that for 30 minutes on and 45 minutes off. The first 7-10 days I run it 24 hours a day. The roots need oxygen but you can't let them dry out.

Mr I Can Do That For Half
My tubs dont leak but I use snap tight type setup tubs that have a over under lip that water cant get into.gaskets can be made from home depot supplies for all tubes. In the aero tubs you want the sprayers to run 24 hours a day everyday dont let them cycle unless your using a very fine micro spray with ultra high pressure pumps of aroun 3000 psi.Dont spray feed plants follow your hydroponic feeding schedule that the nutes manufacture provides such as fox farm.advanced nutrients, or dutch master, Keep the ph at 5.5-5.8 max check daily and keep the ec an ppm with in the feeding schedule reccomendation and adjust to max as you get used to them during grows.

Well, I don't know. I use Aero for cloning. I run mine 24 hours until I have roots, after that I run it 30 minute on and 45 minutes off. I had 100% success. I got a timer with 20 settings on it for $8 at Lowes. It works but I will get a better one. A clone, Crimea Blue. 68 is good

No, you do not want to let your pump run 24/7. In a cloner that's okay, but not in an aero system when you are vegging/flowering. I have my pump spray 6 times a day in 15-20 minute intervals. 8:00 am, 12:00 pm, 4:00 pm, 8:00 pm, 12:00 am, and 4:00 am. If you run it 24/7 root rot will occur, and you definitely don't need that. Make sure you get an air pump and an air stone to throw in your tub. You need to keep the nutrient solution oxygenated, plus that will help the roots from just sitting in stagnant water when your root system starts to poke down into the water. Hope this helps...

you actually can run most aero systems 24/7 regardless of what stage the plant it in. even the system i used which had half the roots dangling in my rez didnt rot with my misters on 24/7.
