Just want to be clear DO NOT feed your plants creatine, it was a comparison.

LOL, I wonder what it would do to a plant... Doesnt creatine just store fluids in your muscle and help repair faster, thats why it seems like it bulks you up....
I think your thinking of Anabolic steroids. Im no expert on this, but Im pretty sure if the Anabolic steroids that can cause water retention.

Anabolics increase protein synthesis in cells, so if your not working out and your just pounding steroids you get weird muscle growth and water retention.

Creatine is a LOT safer then Anabolic steroids IF, big IF here, Used properly with proper diet and a proper workout program.

Creatine occurs naturally in all vertebrates and it basically increases enregy to muscle and nerv cells.

Like anabolics, if you dont use creatine properly you can get water retention. The idea is to do a steady program with a workout program, then stop taking creatine, and tone down and strengthen all the new muscle growth.

As far as effect on plants....I have no idea, I think its something you would just have to try and see what happens. But I doubt it would do anything beneficial to your plant.

Very interesting thread, gonna try a few ideas on here for sure.
i'm thinking of using a co2 fire extinguisher when the plants are moved into flowering, does anyone have any ideas how to slow release the gas without unloading the whole lot? i was thinking about just duck taping the trigger down gently or is this a bad idea altogether?

A fire extinguisher has one job in any grow-room, and its not as a CO2 source.. You won't be able to regulate it, and the cost would be absurd unless you can recharge it yourself.. If you don't want to ferment then look into combustion, or a regulated bottle, or even a vinegar/BS drip..

Dont the c02 fire extinguishers have the powdered chalky shit added? That would be one hell of a mess to clean up after.

Unless your thinking of stealing one from somewhere, which is a huge fine if you ever get caught with it, then its gonna be a LOT cheaper to buy an electric c02 regulator, and rent a bottle of co2 from a local welding supplier.

does vinegar and baking soda create co2 as well? would that be easier
Yeah it does create c02, but it does it all quite quickly so you would need to do like 3 a day to even make it worth it.

The yest method is best because the reactions keeps going for a while. But the best option if you got some extra cash is to just buy a regulator and rent a bottle. Total cost would be like $200 for a regulator, $50 a year to rent the bottle, and co2 refills are cheap.

Think of all the money you can save on yest and sugar, and all the time you save by not dealing with old dirty yest bottles.

5lb bottle with electric reg isnt even that big. For a small grow 5lbs would last you Months.

they last a few days, you should try and get the tops of the bottles above the plants because its heavier than air, another good way is to have a jug with vinegar up high and have a tube with a drip emiter going down to a pan or bottle with baking soda on it, then it just drips away and makes co2 for longer

i have my co2 tube with holes draped up about a foot above my plants. i grow in a cabinet so, since co2 is lighter than air would it still make it to my plants so the whole photosynthesis thing is sped up?

CO2 is heavier than air, not lighter. so yes, it would
