Home Brew Shops, Malting Houses, etc...

Hey everyone. I like drinking coconut water more than giving it to my plants so I've been trying to find some malted corn or maize. Searching the archives I found mention of Grouse Malting House located next to Ft. Collins, CO. On their website they show they produce it so I figured I would take a nice ride out there and check it out.
Just a heads up to fellow Coloradans, Grouse Malting House does not sell bulk supplies at their location. Their website redirects to an online shop with everything getting shipped from Oregon for some reason. Also, everything they malt is gluten-free, so no barley or rye.

Anyways, I just wanted to give you guys a heads-up so you don't make the drive out.

They did give me a couple samples, no maize though, and I'm not sure if I can use these:

I've never dabbled in the roasted section and have only used Barley and Rye in the past. Do any of you guys have any experience with roasted malt?

Thanks

like, as a fermentable sugar for an extract? or aerated microbial tea food? I've used LME both ways, it does ferment like molasses. I only used it for one season cuz it was leftover from brewing. In a tea it was fine too. i used it like 1:100 by volume in water. It didnt do anything bad, plants were healthy and multicolored purples, oranges, and green.
