Holland Secret Bada Bing/Bang/Bloom Nutrient Thread

Alright, so who else uses these nutes.

I've been using them for over a year now and I have nothing but good things to say. They're cheap, they work and they don't leave any sort of buildup.

I got a sweet t-shirt when I bought the additive sampler.

I use it in promix

and on my ebb and flow tables.

So anyone else using these nutes? Any secret formulas you've come up with? Thoughts on budboom? carbo-blast? budstart?

Its my understanding they only recently released this stuff in the states, but i'm sure theres some fellow canucks that are using it.

Don't use those nutes, but I want to ask - how many gramms do you yield off those tiny plants? They look so cute!
Haha, ...thanks! ...either way i appreciate the thread bump.
It's 2'x4' ebb and flow trays 21 pots per tray. plants go 12/12 from clone.
I just took down my first round a couple weeks ago, 18 plants (an almost full 2'x4' tray) yielded 200 grams give or take a couple. That works out to 11 grams average per plant. I'd imagine with some tweeking i can probably eventually double that. Its really a great way to grow.

Have a read through the Grow FAQ link at the top of the page. It should answer most of your questions.

I have been using hollands secret 3 part nutrient for the last 9 months. I also use Carbo Blast from week 2 of flower till flush, Ton o Bud week 3 and 4, and then The Heavies till flush. It costs me £140 for all the nutrients and additives for 1 and half crops at 4 litre sizes.

I grow in aquafarms, use a 600w HPS per 4 farms in my grow room and change my nutrient once a week and keep on top of the ph.

Every grow now consists of 2 week vegging from clone and 8 weeks flowering. I have very good results everytime and its all down to the holland secret nutrient id say! Iv grown with a lot of different nutrients over the years but never found results like these. I used ionic and canna as well as a huge range of advanced nutrients. I am cropping 8oz a plant minimum whereas before it was 5 - 6 tops!

Does anyone know what is best to use for the taste of the buds, wanting somthing sweet this time...

I have clones in a bubbler now that are on their way to rooting. I have Holland secret nutes. Do you follow exactly what the feeding schedule that they say to follow? Did u use the propergater stuff?? What should I do when I transfer my clones to my ebbflow system? Meaning how did u start your nute program???? Thanks alot!

No i dont follow it exactly because of the EC of the nutes when mixed it a bit low. The strain of plant i have can manage the EC a bit higher than the guided way. But i definatly dont think it would make much difference as i know future harvest have done many tests and that is the way they found best to work overall.

But as far as using all the nutes the guide says, i dont. I only use the 3 parts, carbo blast, ton o bud, heavies and bud bloom in a foliar spray. I have used all of them but personally i dont think it is needed. The 3 part nutrient does a very good job on its own if used right and the additives i use just pound on the extra weight!

I dont use propogator because of the fact you cant use it with any other nutrient, so be careful with that one if you didnt know. I just use Canna start for my clones under my cfls and as soon as i switch to HPS i start with the 3 parts. I would advise to maybe go a little under the guide for the first week just see how your plants react if no problems crack on and follow it...

Best of luck

I just got this today. This is a my frist plant.. so I don't really know where to start. I've got 4 litte seedlings that just surfaced after a couple days. When should I start using these nutes and what is the 'micro" formla for? It doesn't even have The blue formula on the feeding chart.

Wait at least a few weeks (depending on nutrient content of your growing medium) before you start to feed. The plants don't need much at all for the first while.

Are you reading the chart on the side of the bottle? Cause mine has numbers for all 3.

Look it up on FHDs website, there is a pdf with the chart on it too.

This is what i got...http://extremegrowing.com/web/content/category/6/25/42/ yeah, it has all parts on the side of the bottles. I'm a noob, I don't exaclty understand how it works. I thought each bottle was for differnt stages of growth.... hah.. but, i'm suppose to use all three of them per every 4L?

so for every 4L I put 2ml of micro, 3ml of grow, and 1 ml of bloom?

Sorry if I sound stupid... but again, this is my frist grow.

EDIT: I did some more reading and I think I get it now... from what i understand.. I make a solution with water for each bottle. As the plant advances I change the portions of the solutions. It woulda made more sense if each bottle was label by N,P,K instead of micro, grow and bloom... Is this right? man.. thought I know alot better with me taking chemisty....

btw, i'm using a premade potting soil mix called Tropical Mix. It contains peatmoss, humus, compost and perlite. It doesn't have any nutritional values on the bag. But do u think theres enough nutrients from the compost and humus to last a few weeks?

yes i start seedlings off at 1-1-1 grow-micro-bloom, then 3-2-1.
1 last question. The chart says for ever 3ml/4L(grow), 2ml/4L(micro), 1ml/4L(bloom).... Do mix each one into 4L of water then mix together? or Mix each into just 4L of water?

Mix them all into 4L of water. The label suggests adding the micro first, then the grow, then the bloom, but I haven't found it to make any difference at all.

You've got it! :bigjoint: They may as well have labled them A B and C, especially since the "bloom" formula has more N than P or K and what have you. :wall:
For the most part their feeding chart is pretty accurate, but a little hot, I find myself using about 1/2 to 3/4 of the recommended amount.

I'm not familliar with that soil mix, but it has food in amounts you're unsure of, so I wouldn't feed the plants until they show signs of nutrient deficiency like yellowing leaves. It would be a shame to burn up your plants before they get a fair chance.

I take it this is your first foray into growing marijuana. (if not, sorry) Let me just say, cannabis is a pretty easy plant to grow, so long as you're patient and pay attention to what your plants are telling you.

Do some reading, you can read Jorge's grow bible, Marijuana botany, and a bunch of other great books for free on scribd

Check out some videos.

This is a good place to start.
