Bonjour
82,77 €... (103 $!) About 11 € more expensive than the 185's...fair price!
Cause 70 € for 4 cob mean 17, 50 € for each cob...so 11 € for one more is a good deal!
How much is it for US customers?
Have a great day ★

I asked this place at 40-Thieves if they had the HGL-240's,
their sits show's them and most models you only needed to
purchase 1 piece.

I checked that site and it looks like they don't have the HLG-240H-C, maybe you were looking at the HLG-240H (constant voltage version)?

So with the 240w models I COULD run 5 CXB 3590 at ~48watts per cob and dimable down to 24 watts per cob correct? Matching 36v with 36v of course....

Am I correct????

And as low as 5W if you take the b version!
Normally b version can drive @140mA...10%...must be close to 70%.efficient at this current! But you must be close to the plant...4/6 inches...it is ok for seedling...
Have a great day ★

This is the one I @ them about:
"Last time you sent inquiry to us about the Meanwell power HLG-240H-42C."
Did screw things up again?

Yes. I mis-spoke, those (HLG-240H-42C) are constant current drivers but low voltage and high current so not good for running cobs in series. They could potentially run a group of cobs in parallel (or parallel strings of low voltage diodes in series). My understanding based on what people on the forum have discovered is that it's not necessarily bad for the cobs to run in parallel but they may give uneven brightness. If one cob were to fail the current would be split between the remaining cob/s.

If you want a 250w driver to run cobs in series you would want HLG-240H-C700, HLG-240H-C1050, HLG-240H-C1400, HLG-240H-C2100 and they still aren't generally available yet. Won't be long though.

Thanks for the additional info, I'm way in the nubby area of lights and drivers and growing pot, last time was 73
in the upper Hood River Valley in OR.

Bonjour
This mean 7 cxb 3590 on an hlg-320-1400b...is it 350w?
I guess 1400mA will be the smaller...no 1050!??
Or 1750?
I can't wait till spring...I will buy a 240...we are never happy...lol...more watt...more lumen...more efficiency...more gpw...more quality...more more more!...lol!
Have a great day ★

It's probably going to be a 320 watt driver. I wrote them asking if they had any plans to offer the 120 or 185 at higher drive currents because that would be really useful, but they replied back mentioning the 240 and 320 so I take that as a no. Not sure if the 320 will be available higher than 2.1 or lower than 1.4.

3590s - 6 at 1.4 amps, 5 at 1.75 amps or 4 at 2.1 amps.

Sounds about right 220-230. No datasheets available yet so we'll just have to wait and see. :)

I had seen the stats but hadn't realized how wide it was til I opened the box. All the other HLG drivers have the same profile width. This one is almost 4 inches across. I'm pretty sure there will be a T4-2100 this Summer. They also come in 2.8 and 3.5 amp versions and as low as .7 amps. This driver can probably handle 14 CXBs 3590s at .7 amps. Over 400 volts in the 700ma version... use caution as always.
