So this is my first legal outside grow lol a few of my plants didn't look like they're doing too good but now I have come back and look amazing! my question was is about I believe it's called "lollipopping" I just can't get myself to start trimming lower branches:( does that do a big difference the size of the main colas? Also I use all my popcorn for butter so maybe leaving them alone the help the production of butter lol any thoughts? Also I was thinking for support when the bud starts to grow was to stick a piece of bamboo towards the center stock and stringing the buds to their, what do you guys find work the best? thanks

You definitely want supports, plenty of them too. The less work the plant has to do keeping its branches supported the more work it can do growing buds. As far as trimming the bottom goes. I would probably trim anything real low down near the ground personally. It won't get great light, and it more susceptible to water or dirt splashing on them when it rains. That will also let the plant focus its growth upwards towards the rest of the plant.

Your buds will need light in order to grow. This is why you get "popcorn" buds, they are all inside/at the bottom of the stem where there isn't so much light.

Trimming the lower/smaller limbs and leaves will allow more airflow, thus less chance of mold/mildew which can ruin your bud. Just don't do so much that you shock your plants. You will also focus more growth on the colas increasing the yield there. End result is more of a higher quality bud, that can still be used for butter. Your choice though. Some people do and some people don't.
