I love hiking and smoking and would like to get a small group of frenziedly legal MMJ patients to go hiking with on a regular like once a month ish. Rattle snake lake is my next one. I have been to the lake and a little up the trail but want to go to the top. It is a several mile hike so be warned.

Google it if you like its a nice hike for those of you who live in east king county and can make the commute.

Let me know if you are interested ( PM ME ) and we can swap contact info, I am hoping to have a group of a dozen or more but will not put a upper limit on the people who can come.

And of course:bigjoint: please have your card as do I!

Sick deal, Definitely interested in east WA trips. If a group of you guys decide to make the journey over the pass, there are probably a few patients including myself over here who would love to kick it and enjoy the views.

Pasted below is a good trail snack Would love an "easy" hike, but if there are ice axes or crampons involved, count me out!

[h=1]Baked Crispy Kale Recipe[/h] Servings: 4 as snack Prep Time: 5 Cook Time: 20
The biggest secret to getting the kale super-crisp is to dry them in a salad spinner. If there is moisture on the leaves, the kale will steam, not crisp. Also, do not salt the kale until after they have come out of the oven. If you salt beforehand, the salt will just cause the kale to release moisture...thus steaming instead of crisping. I've also found that the convection setting on my oven works really well too - I set the convection on 325F and bake for about 10-15 minutes. Have fun with this recipe, I sometimes mix the salt with Cajun or Creole seasoning.
[h=3]ingredients:[/h] 4 giant handfuls of kale, torn into bite-sized pieces and tough stems removed (about 1/3 pound)
1-2 tablespoons canna olive oil
1-2 teaspoons good vinegar
sea salt or kosher salt

[h=3]directions:[/h] 1. Preheat oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Place the kale leaves into a salad spinner and spin all of the water out of the kale. Dump the water and repeat one or two times more just to make sure that the kale is extra dizzy and dry. Use a towel to blot any extra water on the leaves. Place the kale on the baking sheet.
3. Drizzle olive oil and vinegar over the kale leaves and use your hands to toss and coat the leaves. Bake in the oven for 12-20 minutes until leaves are crisp. Take a peek at the 12 minute mark - the timing all depends on how much olive oil you use. Just use a spatula or tongs to touch the leaves, if they are paper-thin crackly, the kale is done. If the leaves are still a bit soft, leave them in for another 2 minutes. Do not let the leaves turn brown (they'll be burnt and bitter) Remove from oven, sprinkle with salt and serve.

Sweet I am going to start Pm anyone who shared interest in hopes to nail down a good day that the majority of us are free on.

Thanks for the recipe by the way sounds like a great hiking snack.

The trail is The one on Rattle snake Mountain right next to rattle Snake lake, not to far from North Bend WA. No trailblazing necessarily its a nice gravel trail wide as hell to the top. however it is still not a walk around the mall!

As if it needed to be said but if you prefer to complain please don't come!

I love hiking but my abilities probably aren't up to par with ya'll. the ole back just can't handle the tough terrain at this point...I lived on the east side of the state for about 6 years and loved every minute of it. have fun ya'll let me know if you have any not so tough hikes on the west side. peace

I've already said I'm not hard core anymore, and was PMed for the W. WA hike, so guessing we can choose a first hike we can all enjoy!
