i have decited to use my attic as my growroom. it has every thing i need, lots of space, skylight for ventelation, nobody in house remembers its there, but the hight is short.like 55 inches! is that enough to grow under? the pots im using are wide and low. im using low stress training to keep plants low. and this High Tech Garden Supply to grow under. so is my space too short? if the ballest and reflector are about 12 inches tall together and attached to roof, that leaves about 12-20 inches of between my plants and light. is this enough room?
thanks

That light's gonna be hot in there, but if you keep fresh air coming through you should be alright. Depending on how high your pots are and assuming your light will take up the upper foot or so that should leave you around 3 feet of space from the top of the pot to the bottom of the light, and you wont want your plants getting any closer than 18 inches to the light in that space so you're just gonna have to do some intense low stress training, otherwise you could do a small sea of green. I think a sog would be better suited, maybe like 12/12 from seed/clone.

according to my (shitty) calculations, if i use a pot that is 9 inches tall, i have around 3 feet of clearence between the top of pot and the bottom of the reflector. im gonna use the most intence method of lst ive seen. im defenitly starting a grow journal when im set up.

keep topping those bad girls and it will be exciting to see a short flat bush spread out across your area. is it a slanted roof, or can you hang a light over to increase coverage?

put a light mover up and you'll be in business. additionally, make sure ventilation is well covered. if you own the property, I would recommend installing some inconspicuous exhaust ports in the roof, with a few fans blowing hot air out... and maybe tap into the central air vents if you have central air conditioning for cool air.

Typically a healthy marijuana plant gets to be at least 30 inches tall at harvest.
Knowing this:
If your plant is 30 inches
If your pot is about 10 inches tall
If your light/reflector is 10 inches tall

That leaves only a few inches of space to keep the the bulb away from the tips of the leaves.

I would look into a type of light where you keep it cool, so it can sit inches away from the leaves.

im either gonna use a hps/mh 400 or a 600 watt light. as for reflecter im using a 6'' cool tube or a euro reflector from htg supply. mite go for the ez cool 6''.

I recomend the cool tube I just installed mine and love it. It stays extremly cool as i have a 200 cfm blower hooked up on it but I would recomend the sun soaker reflector to help spread your light to help the scrog work w/light mover or not t spreads 48"x48"
