High PPM Tap Water

Well I just wanted to give you guys a heads up.
My PPMs out of the Tap have been around 250ppm.
I noticed while taking a shower the water pressure got really low. So i pull the shower head and there were what look to be sand clogging the screen. I cleaned it off and all is good. That got me thinking about the kitchen sink.
SURE enough. The screen in the kitchen sink was clogged up as well!
PPMs are now 50ppm outta the tap!!
Keep those Facet aerators clean!!

You need an RO system or a couple of good jugs and a local store. I hope your not giving tap water to your plants

I was feeding my plants with 200ppm tap for a LONG time, finally just broke down and ordered an RO/DI yesterday. Plants were allright before, but I wanna use nutes that specifically say to use with RO/DI water. That being said, I put in an email for samples of Ionic's Hardwater line, and they sent me 3 quarts. One Grow, One bloom, and One PK boost. Specifically designed for hardwater, but I haven't tried it yet.

Well I was thinking about buying an RO system but thats been on the back burner since I need more lights and AC. My plants have been doing great with water outta the tap. Ive always used tap water but the PPMs are usually under 200ppm. I have (20) 40+ inch Spacebombs in flowering right now. Im gonna start a journal ive jus been lazy!

I got a 100GPD RO/DI on eBay for 66 bucks shipped...Should be here tomorrow or friday. It's a "portable" unit, so it screws right into a sink with no serious installation, and has a wastewater tube I'm planning on running down the sink while I produce 0ppm water.

Don't forget your lead lined dishwashing gloves....lol...What kinda filter did you try installing, an RO/DI? Weird thqat the PPM's would go up...lol...I have a saltwarer reef tank, so I've been buying gallon jusg of distilled water...after a few months of that, I've spent probably over 100 bucks on distilled water, for my little tiny 3-gallon reef tanks...Three of 'em,
