I have a clone and want the best light. I have it under a high output t5 flouresent and i was told it can be used through the veg stage. But i was wodering if i should put it under 400 watt mh or is the t5 alright.

t-5 is okay, but if you have the option the MH is going to be a lot better. You will have much denser and sturdier plants.

I have read that some people use T5 for veg stage. Because of the lower amounts of heat the bulbs can be closer to the plant allowing for more lumens. With MH you need to be sure that the light is properly ventilated and further away from the plant or it may burn.

11 times out of ten if your room is cool enough you should use the mh, high intensity=rugged ass sturdy plants. though having said that it wouldnt hurt to suppliment with the t5. good luck!

HPS MH switchable ballast. I have 8 1,ooo watts switchables and they kick ass. Veg then flower with all the power. Fuck flourescent shit.

My plan is to run T5 for veg, then go to 600 watt HPS for flower. I need to go this route due to space and power limitations. I think it should work well.
