High N-P-K value fertilizers

I have these two ferts one is 12-36-14 and the other is 38-4-4. Since these numbers are high what strength should i use them at? Whens the best time to use these ferts? What is NPK directly effect?

what brand are the two? And do they come with directions printed on the back? If so I would just start off at 1/4 strength what the recommend and use your judgement from there to see whether you need to add more or keep it at 1/4 the strength if you see good growth results.

The high N which is the first number for 38-4-4...is the Vegg nutrient and the one with the high middle number is the Flowering stage fertilizer

The higher first number (nitrogen) indicates its for the early stages of plant life, but those are super-high numbers so go easy on the stuff. The higher the K (potassium) means it's for the flowering stages.

There actually lawn ferts which i didnt include because it would cause alot of unwanted drama on here for me haha, thank you though, i was only wondering

You're not gonna see good results from those....I wouldn't use them really since they are such high numbers. And lawn fertilizer is not the healthiest to be growing weed with since you gonna be smoking it and it'll probably still be left in the plant since it is more concentrated than garden plant fertilizer...

I second this.

You probly could get away with using those nutrients. For the simple reason you'd only have to apply them once a month.
at probly 1-tsp per foot of branch growth.
actually the (P) in the NPK is for flowering. I use triple Phosphate 0-45-0 for my flowering. You need to keep in mind there time released nutrients, so it takes a little while for the plant to pop.
chemical nutes are chemical nutes, like fox farm or general hydroponics there chemical nutes. So I don't see how your chemical nutes could be any worse.
dont go crazy, try it once a month in the soil and see what happens.

why all the fuss? keep those ferts for the lawn just buy a new fertilizer, you can get small quantities for cheap. even if lawn ferts may keep your plants green, they will not feed the budding plant at the rate that it needs for good budding and will diminish your buds...

Yea lawn fertilizer is usually time released so what everyone is saying is good. Get some fertilizer just for fast growing house plants like tomatoes and you'll be fine. Or take it to the next level and get some fertilizer off the internet like Fox Farm or Advanced Nutrients that is specially made for growing mary J

Thanks everyone, with more research ive heard that the african violet food that is 12-36-14 works pretty well for flowering. I also wont be using the lawn ferts. I will be using the bloom and neem oil from dyna grow. Im doing a 12/12 with about a week of veg

cool, keep in mind that you need veg ferts for at least first two weeks of flowering
