Im Charlie Who? Old fat Hippy. Been growing two or three years, I think Im on my 14th grow. I rock two 600 watters and a 4 tube T5 for vegging. I used Botanicare nutes until a grow or so ago, then switched to CANNA SUBSTRA. Good stuff.
I started out in soil, but discovered HEMPY and have done only Hempy ever since because I like to ease, cheapness of perlite, and WTF, it works. I did implement my Hempys with the addition of small (100gph) pumps a few grows back, to deal with the ONE problem I had with Hempy---that annoying WAIT for a young plant's roots to 'reach the res". Once I added the little pumps to re-curculate the nute solution, my young plants didnt have to wait to get their Grow On. IMO, this little addition put the icing on the cake--I have since bought more little pumps, LOL...and now each plant has it's own pump. I favor five gallon plastic kitchen garbage "cans", drill a few holes around the bottom and sit each one in a tub. The tub gets the nutes and the nute solution get's pimped up and into thetop of the gatbage can, drains out the holes back into the outer "res" tub. Works like a charm.
Ive been growing lots of different sativas, but currently Im trying some New Blue Diesel, Blue Sattelight and C-99.
Most fun hobby, ever. I think I USED to like sex....but it's been too long ago to really remember.
