Hello everyone. Its been a month since seeding so ive decided to start this journal to let everyone see what im doing. This is my first grow and I've already learned so much, its crazy how much you learn the first time.

I am growing in my closet, I am growing some beautiful ICE!

400w MH and four 23w CFL for veg 17/7
i got 400w HPS For 12/12
Im currently using BC Grow and BC Boost - right now im at about 800 to 1000 ppm

the plants are 16 - 17" tall right now and looking great.. Fat greeen leavess:leaf::leaf: i just want to eat em up

I have one plant that started very late and is only about 7" tall with 3 or 4 nodes

Questions that make me scatch my mind:
Should I start the flowering stage soon or should I wait for the smaller plant to catch up?

Should I use the CFLs along with the HPS during FLowering?

How long before flowering do I take clones

Im using Coconut husk as a medium for growing.. i havent seen many people on this site use. Has anyone else done this? It seems to be working very well

I used coca coir for the first year, still have a few plants in it now. Works well, fungus knats love coco. Just be sure do do regular maintance for pests. Plants look good. Maybe you could explain to us what you used for your drip system. Looks nice. VV

thanks for the comments.
No i havent taken any clones. i didnt want to fool with that at this point since everything is going so well. Plus i want to grow a different strain each grow. maybe ill do some cloneing next grow..

my drip system is simple i have a 50 gallon container that i keep 20 gallons of water that i change every week. there is a 600 gph pump that pumps straight up to a 9 way variable splitter to each plant. there is a wood board where the pots are inlayed and recycles the water. pump timer is set to 3 times a day for 15 minutes. they can drink about 10 gallons a week

can someone tell me if 4 23w CFL would just be pointless for sidelighting at this point or would it help some? they are the blue spectrum cfls

I still recommend taking clones. You don't have to move them through a system, you can just put them in low lights and let them veg for future mothers, while you experiment with other strains. Having a two or three month old mother can save you weeks of time when you decide to run that strain again. VV
