Once heard years ago that once you get old and senile all you have is your memories. Don't know how I feel about that. When I look back on my life I smile mostly, I tend to remember the good things. My wife is different, she tends to look at the glass as half empty. She had a real hard time growing up and can't get over that stage of her life. She never spoke to her parents...she remembers just being in the way. I had a rough upbringing as well but tend to look at the brighter side of life. It's funny what you remember though... When I was 4 I remember the Adlai Stevenson/Dwight Eisenhower debates. Scared the shit out of me, two men standing in front of a podium yelling into the camera. Also remember my mom kicking my dad out of the house a year later, hardly ever saw him again. I think the fact that we both came from broken homes made us better parents.

Ya I do remember those "beatnik" days and mary jane fortunately my mind isn't that fried aside from short term memory but that comes with age, i think ha ha, I remember passing by those coffee shops and wondering what it's all abt and being curious. now here I am some yrs later going through the "hippy" yrs and seeing time just slip away, but it's a good life and I'm content and that's what counts.
And so much time wasted on the way

I remember the headlines "WE GO TO WAR" That would have been in 1950. I was in basic training when Kennedy was shot. Funny the shit you remember from way back when.

60 and retired. Florida - west coast. Been "doin my thang" since I was 17. I have my very first plants (6) growing right now. I am so clueless but I am so proud of whatever the hell is growing in that pot right now. I like this! A couple of questions I wish I could get a little help with. Since I have scavenger seeds and it's only 6, wouldn't it make sense to separate so that the males don't get mixed in with the females? The plants are 2 weeks old and about 6". Right now I can't tell what they are. My other question is, with the amount of sun we get here in Florida (about 10 hours approx.) , do you think it's enough to get a nice crop or is it absolutely necessary to invest in some lights. Oh yeah, let me tell the real truth guys, the soil that my plants are in is some old soil I had laying around from a houseplant that died a few weeks ago. So I just tossed them in, now I feel real bad for the plants since I went online and read all the stuff I should have done before planting. By the way, isn't this a great website?!? Okay, final question, and timidly I ask this, am I seriously stuck with just random seeds or can I buy some, being that's it's illegal here in Florida. Feel free to respond to my personal email address: [email protected].

Born in 1958. Graduated in the Bicentennial year of 1976. Remember exactly where I was when it came on tv that JFK was shot. Was a little too young and way too hick to attend the Ozark Music Festival.

Yeah, I was in shop class when JFK was shot. I was a freshman in high school. A couple of days later I'm sitting home watching the news (black and white tv, before remotes were invented) where they were leading Oswald out and saw the fucking Jack Ruby jump out and shoot that Mofo. Even as a kid I was shocked but looking back something sure stinks rotten in this case.

Any draftees or draft dodgers on here. My lotto # was 17. Was in college at the time so they couldn't get me. Like a dumb ass dropped out for a semester, got a good summer job and wanted to pay some bills. The college turned my ass in and got my notice for my physical before September was over. Lucky, never went overseas. Basic and AIT at Fort Ord Calf and the last 18mo at Ft Carson in Colo Spgs.
