You are totally correct it can cut steel....but not at the BMW plant near here.

My buddy did this with waterjet in stainless over aluminum;

Not only 'Old Fart' but 'Weirdy Beardy' to boot! what's the point of growing old gracefully, be the cranky old fart you have worked so hard to master with your advancing years, all my favourite 'heads' have been those like anton wilson who were still a thorn in the side of the agents of normalcy well into their 80's. Personally I can't wait to start corrupting the minds of my inevitable grandchildren (4 grown lads gonna breed at some point!) and start turning out the next generation of ultra-anti-establishmentarians!

So I have made some pH down using sulfuric acid, 100 ozs of distilled water to 25 ozs of sulfuric acid, resulting in a 4:1 solution. Its to strong for small applications, so I want to make a 50:1 solution.
My math says 12 ozs of distilled water to 1 oz of 4:1 solution = 13 ozs of 50:1 solution. Can anyone confirm or explain why this is incorrect.

try when you have to use ppb instead of ppm, have to make 4 or 5 step down stock solutions to get what you want...then you have liters of stuff sitting around that are orders of magnitude too strong....hope it has a long shelf life

That's the thing I didn't want to all that distilled water and make 25 gallons. Besides if I increase my grow and the res size increases the 4:1 solution will be useful for that. But not right now.

I must say I really enjoy this thread.

I will be 53 in January (2017). I can remember at school recess climbing over the fence in the 6th grade to go smoke my first joint with a kid. I guess that would've made me 12 years old. Some of the best times of my life were crusing around boof'in and jammin...god today - you'd be compared to the anti-christ (getting caught doing that). Still a fan of the erb today.
