Very nice! How do you like AN? I have never really put money into quality nutes, but next go around I wanna do a Hempy grow, and you can't get by on crap nutes with hydro (well... Passive hydro) and I need to invest anyway incase I stick to soil. Just wondering what your take on nute brands is?
Ive tried GH products before, the 3 part and flora nova series. After trying them I tried advanced nutrients and never thought of trying a new brand again, they provide the plants with everything and now with their PH perfect technology it takes a lot of work of growing not having to test PH is very nice. They do cost a bit but the results are for sure worth it. If you dont wanna invest too much on something you really have not tried just order the smaller 250ml versions and do an experiment and comparison :). AN's good for soil and hydro so you can swing either way with these ;)

Hey guys, so just got back from the hospital cause i was throwing up like every 5 min and couldnt hold nothing down!! Doc's said when I first got sick I must of burned the lining of my esophagus, pretty crappy. He also mentioned cause of that happening I might now have Gastroesophageal reflux disease. Its been a rough week for me and the babies unfortunately. Well a few of them anyway, heres the deal check this pic out. Notice at the bottom of the stem its like shrinking and working its way upward? I never came across this issue before. Now the Peat moss is a new brand and now the only one they arry at the lowes by my house, however it say ready to use. I prob should of used my better judgement and washed it out, even though its just peat moss. Anyway I said what the hell ordered some more seeds to go along with the ones that are doing good. The weather has been a little off here too, like 80 the one day then lower 50's the next and even got to lower 40's. Something I really wasnt prepared for since it dont get like that around here this time of year. In fact the only time it really gets cold is around late Jan early feb. Well anyway heres a pic. Leaves are nice and green but the lower part of the stem is sucking in or shrinking like.

Like I said I never encountered this, any thoughts?

Nice! I wanna grow Hemphill next go so that'll be perfect in case I don't like the Hemphill I can just switch back without changing nutes

Ouch! She doesn't look happy
Have you ever come across that? I still dont know for sure why some did thatm as I mentioned this is the first time I ever come across this problem through my grows and on the forums. All I can think of is the Peat moss that claims its "Ready to use" The clone and the test plant are doing fine and dandy. Thats really the only thing that i did different cause lowes dont carry the Canadian brand that used to :(

Yeah and with the PH perfect technology you only have to worry about ph'ing when you water not feed, rgw nutes adjusts themselves automatically :blsmoke:

Oh sweet! That's what I'm going to have to go with when the time comes then for sure! And about that seedling, I really couldn't tell you. I've never had that happen. The water leaves are dead, like really dead, and you don't even have your second set of true leaves yet. I'd say maybe nute burn, if your feeding already, or over watering, but I really couldn't say for sure. Could be something different. Let us know if you find anything.

Na no nutes, theres lime down towards the bottom but they didnt reach that yet no way. Nay on the over watering, its something different, some real ninja shit

Ok so things seem to be going good. i'm sorry guys this past week along with all th stuff been going on ive been working 12 hour days, been pretty crazy its not usually like this but when you can make some extra money gotta do it ya know?

Anyway forgot to mention got some seeds coming to compensate for any loss, got a few more then needed but its cool. Got a new Acapulco gold, I thought there was gonna be issues right off the hat she had a slow start. The chocolope kush was some dramatic shit, That was the one in the pic above. So I go into the grow room one morning and she was laying straight completely on her side but her whole stem above the ground was completely intact. So I took some moist peat moss and raised the ground around here till she could support herself hoping when she started taking root more it would alleviate the problem. Obviously it didnt work, this should really be called "The ninja". Once you know they have it, its too late.. Thats some shady stealth shit...

So still have some auto sweet tooth but ordered 3 more and also have a couple blue cheese, soo i ventured my way to the Big buddha Seeds link on the Attitudes seed bank site and decided to try Cheesus

Big Buddha Cheesus is a mostly indica cannabis strain developed by the Big Buddha who selected a God Bud male derived from the BC Bud Depot in Canada and crossed it with a Big Buddha Cheese clone. There are reasons why she got this name. Cheesus is a gold dust among marijuana specimen collectors. This strain has incredible medicinal values and has a pleasant lavender, pine berry cheese flavour. Cheesus cannabis seeds from the Big Buddha are very easy to grow; like any other Big Buddha indica seeds, they show a good stress and disease resistance. They sprout in a day after a usual soaking and, once seeded, produce strong and healthy seedlings. Young plants respond well to all growing methods. Mature plants are stout and fat with a slender, indica leaf pattern and have a good arm branching to support the pungent, full heavy buds. The maximum height of 120 cm makes Cheesus ideal for indoor growing, she is perfect for closets and windowsills. Plants growing outdoors show good results too and can definitely bring a variety into your marijuana garden. Each plant of Cheesus can produce up to 125 gr. of dried product with a pleasant lavender, pine berry cheese flavour and a powerful narcotic effect. Cheesus seeds produce flowers in 8 weeks, which then turn into really dense buds, with the calyxes pressed together and covered with long sticky hair full of THC (16-18%). These females famous for producing the biggest and most resin-dripping buds should be really given the full nine weeks to reach their best. The plants of this cannabis variety has high amount of CBD and therefore produce marijuana with a corporal high, a strong body and mind relaxation. If compared with a wine, this indica is a heavy red one. The cured marijuana has a long shelf life and will please you for months and months.
Cheesus just sounds dope. Gonna snap a few pics here in a few :)

Ninja shit huh? Lol. Damn. I was hoping (for ur sake) that it was something simple. I've never used peat moss before, and never heard of adding wet peat moss to a limp plant. I usually just post up with some string, or put some soil around the base. Then again, I've always had strong stems from the start. I wonder what you issues are? I would actually like to know. Sounds like something worth noting for reference. Lets get some progress pics. I know it hasn't been that long since the last ones, but I'd like to get a better look at them since that were last posted. Hope all works out for ya. Here are mine so far. That are at day 21 I believe.

The seedling growth is very slow almost to a stop it seems. The clone and the test plant are doing good. The test plant is staying short with very tight internodes. Still nice green growth
. so heres where the story gets a little weird but sheds some light on the situation.

So after i switched to Advanced Nutrients PH perfect technology I donated my PH meter to a good friend. I bought the old ol reliable liquid tester since i would just be testing the water not the nutrient mix. when i start seeds its a routine thing I Buy a jug of good water i usually look for spring each store seems to have various kinds of water (distilled, spring, drinking, etc) At publix i go for the purified water at walmart its spring. I first went to walmart bought 3 gallons of the spring, this is so routine that i dont check the PH nomore but its always the same has been for a long time. Upon trouble shooting I was had to think about PH its something you can never rule out until you ran every possible outcome. Well I found an abnormality, I tested the spring water and the PH's color on the chart was the highest of the PH!!

Ok so we have the culprit right? Wrong answer lol, I dont worry about PH as i said so i dont have ph down but i do have white distilled vinegar for just in case times. Poured a little in then tested, no change. Put in a little moren tested again no change. poured a cap in the jug, no change...... So i tested my tap water, did the exact same thing. To publix I went, came home with the purified water. Tested it and it was yellow, thats the lowest color on the ph list for my tester!! I tried to bring it up no change I opened another just of the purified, no change. How about i went out and bought a new tester and ph down thinking this one has gone bad from age and it did the exact same thing and dropped 20 drops of ph down and still no change in the spring, I was baffled. Needless to say i ordered a ph meter earlier. The temps dropped pretty low in my area think that might have an impact on the tester? Ill have a few pics up in the next hour or so mate.

Hopefully we found the ninja, i should start a thread in general and see if anyone else is having the same prob with liquid testers.

temp does mess with ph meters and i can only assume it does the same to liquid tests. I got one of the cheap ones from china on ebay and it hasnt failed me yet!

Be careful with those rapid rooters and seeds if thats what youre using them for. Ive killed many a seed with those by putting em too deep or too shallow haha.

For clones theyre the fuckin shit!!! I get damn near 100% success every time with them, some perlite, a clone tray and humidity dome, and a heat mat.

Workin on some pics now

IMG_1066.jpgIMG_1067.jpgIMG_1068.jpgIMG_1069.jpg

Got some more otw of the others, just wanted to note something. Couldn't tell it was a PH issue on the test plant and the clone ause of the bleaching of the leaves from light proximity for the test plant and the over watering/nutrient burn my pops did to it. its cool though never ever gonna trust a liquid tester. Should have the tester on monday and the new seeds on tuesday :D

More pics to come here shortly
