i have a rather large plant that is about 3 foot tall and it is about a foot away from outgrowing my rather large grow closet. anyway, is there a way i can trim or cut the plant to make it grow wide, not quite as tall. it is currently in the middle of the 2nd week of flowering and it is a female

ouch, if youre in week 2 of flower then topping should of been done by now - but you can get away with it. if you can, try tying down the branches with string. i have about 3 huge branches tied down on most of my plants, it works perfectly & it lets the light hit other spots so you get bushy growth.

Why the fuck did you let it get so tall in veg state if your space was getting that close? If you start flowering at 15 inches or so they shoud be done at around 3 - 4 feet. Atleast thats what I have been told, growing a aeroponics right now about to start flowering.

I used bending alot on my last grow and had zigzagging like mad...it works great. Bending also deactivates the growth inhibiting hormone, allowing it to grow faster. I wouldn't recommend cutting anything besides dead leaves when you're around flowering time...it takes hormones from the budding process to try and recover.
