HEY EXPERT!Am I On The Right Track???

first off sorry for no pics but i will make this easy
-what i have goin on-
-25x25 inch 21 inch tall space. (small)
-1 18" "natural sunshine" floro tube at 15 watts 590 lumens (color temp 5000k)
-2 42 watts CFLs at 2700 lumens each.
- 2 computer fan blowin on the 2 plants.
- the lights are about 2" away from the plants.




i started them in jiffy pellets and transplanted like 5 days ago and havent seens much growth but they look super healthy to me with dark green foliage and no yellowing.

-SOIL-
- miracle grow organic potting soil
- miracle grow perlite (about 20%)

i have 3 cups of water to help raise humidity.

i have them on 24/7 light (although i have them 5 hhours of darkness today because i thought it might help)


I just want as much advice as possible to have a successful grow.

side note: i will be lookin into the whole "Sea Of Green thing" because of the space available situation.

well now i have the right lights...

i got 4 27 watt CFLs at 1400 lumens each and 5500k...they are being used with some Y splitters.

i need a thermometer and ph reader and humidity shit, but imn thinking i can get by without it.....but im palnning on getting atleast a thermometer.

znyone have any thoughts/advice on this???

Definitely get a thermometer with such a tiny space. They're not bad for bigger spaces either. You could try a yeast-based CO2 generator. I don't do it, but I've read good things from stealth growers(where they pretty much seal the environment). Yeast is also pretty cheap.

Stick with only 5000(full spectrum)-6500k(daylight) for veg. Use both(2700 to 3000k & 5500 to 6500k) for flowering. Warm whites suck at blue spectrum(basically everything below 500-550nm). 450-460 is the blue photosynthesis peak, down to 350nm is used. Considering the rest of the PAR spectrum only goes up to 700-760 max... it's very significant.

You didn't mention a reflector. Get one. 30-40% yield increase is possible done properly.

im using tin foil right now lol...i also have white plastic on the floor.....i know tinfoil doesnt work very good, but i cant find mylar in ANY store.....home depot or wall mart....where the heck is it???


side note- i added another PC fan for a total of 3 n my tiny space.


my main plant is still growing VERY slow, but is healthy looking besides the droopy leaves....probably due to over watering (every other day) but it might be becuae the ligts are on each side of it and the leaves are aiming at the light.
any suggestions? i want to get atleast something of my own for 4/20:bigjoint:

i might have to ghettofy something out of chip bags now that you mention it....you think aluminum foil is better than mylar??

its around 2 inches tall and has a purple stem but the color looks healthy........ever since i tranplanted it into a small pot from the jiffy pellet it hasnt grown much at all. it....

i germed the seeds on feb 2 ........2 days later put the seeds (with big ol' roots comin out) in jiffy peat pellets andf then only 2 out of 9 sprouted and then 4 days later i tranplanted it and now is like a week from that...... could it be transplant shock?? i have no idea.
