My advice is don't over feed/water them and don't chop too early.

The last couple of weeks are very important.

Those are at day 37 of 12/12 and like two weeks since first flowers....its a C99....Ive got some Og Kush and Grandaddy Purple going too...My boi has some really awsome Big Buddah Cheese which Im picking up 10 or so for my Hydro Setup...I was just sitting here loaded thinking how can I get my Crystals to be so covered that you can barely see the actual bud or leaves...I've seen pics but never at any grower I knows cab either...I know It might be strain dependant, but, Once I grow this strain how do I bring it out....I jus threw those pics up because thats what gets folks to read...I've got tons of pics :) But those were actually a little over ferted as little czr is implying.......But I have waaaaay icier ones...it's just hard to get pics that dont turn orange:) But I've noticed that the ones I use mollasses on actually got way icier...but without adding a typical carb or sweetner or whatever What actually causes resin production...is it a combination of carbs and light....or the total enviroment combined......is it ONLY attainable with additives and never naturally....ya feel me....My gues is that it's from the light being hella close with the temp at the optimal setting WITHOUT Co2.....What do you guys think CAUSES THE BEST RESIN PRODUCTION....or Completely stops it...same for potency....I dont want any advice on how to generaly grow...I can just click the back button for that...But it seems that what causes and stops resin production and potency is at a split...some say Co2 reduces potency...some say hydro increases potency....get it what do you guys think

I think they look really nice for day 37 -crystals etc. Just lighten up alittle on the feeding. It doesn't look like they could use anything else -adding a UVB light, anyone?

An awesome trick for a great increase in resin production would be right when your buds are ready for harvest (the time you would pull your plants and manicure your buds) leave your precious babies in there mediums and leave them in complete darkness for 48 hours...the reason why this occurs is due the fact that during the day your plants go through photosythysis cycles and grow very little and during the night the photosysthesis cycles slow way down and your plants will grow. In your case dude the growth you will see most will be covering the plants with sweetness! Hope this helps man one love.

Adding UV-B lighting would make a difference. Find a light(s) for a reptile aquarium, one(s) that puts out high amounts of UV-B rays and add it to your lighting.

Here is the way it is actually done.

"The Stichting Institute of Medical marijuana (SIMM), the first company to sell marijuana through the pharmacies of Holland, has been investigating the medical possibilities of cannabis, together with TNO laboratories and the University of Leiden.

One of their discoveries has been that to keep the ripe plants in the dark before harvesting could increase their potency.
SIMM’s growers separated a crop of mature plants, harvested half of them and kept the other half in absolute darkness for 72 hours before cutting and drying. Analysis of the resulting dried buds showed that some varieties had seen an increase of THC of up to 30%, while CBD and CBN remained the same."

Any longer than 48 hours it starts to become risky because mold problems are likely to occur so also take that into consideraton.

If you use carboload you should try it in conjuntion with voodoo juice from advanced nutrients. The voodoo juice is basically benifitial bacteria for your plants and the carboload is the food that the benifitial bacteria feed on. Give it a shot I PROMISE you wont be displeased. One love!!

These people didn't seem to have that problem. When the first release of information came out it was lengthy and it went into great detail and there was no mention of mold problems. I can no longer find the full report so all I can offer is what is now able to be found and what their results were.

If someone has mold problems then they did one or two things wrong. One, and it being the most important, would be keeping the plants in an area where the humidity is too high. The very same thing can, and does, occur during regular drying when dried in to high of humidity, and or putting buds for curing into jars too soon and not burping them often enough. Keeping plants in total darkness with high humidity in and of itself would be somewhat countering the process of increasing resin since high humidity decreases resin production and low humidity increases resin production.

The other mistake would be to give the plants a good watering prior to being put into total darkness.

Hey Thanks Brick Top, I've read many of your posts before and appreciate your advice...Backed up byh research and everything...gotta love it..I'll be implementing this method during this harvest and my other few I have coming up pretty soon. Thanks and Happy Growing +rep. :)

Hey GanjGuy420, tI've heard about both of these...Voodoo juice had been lingering in my mind for the past few days actually...I use Mollasses instead of Carboload and sweet...But Im suspecting that Mollasses and Voodoo Juice might be killer together...thanks for the good advice.

It will not do any good to add Voodoo Juice at this point of flowering. It is used to promote the growth of roots which primarily takes place in the veg cycle. Even then Voodoo is only used every three weeks. The label on Voodoo says to use Carboload with it because it provides a food source for the bene's.

Using a carb source such as Carboload will help. Did you say which bloom nutes you are using? You could try Overdrive from Advanced. It is for the phase of bloom and gets flowers bulkier and more dense. There also is Bud Factor X from AN. It is expensive but it works awesome. I can attest to it. There is also Bud Candy. I could go on for days. Any of these will work great.

Oh and Purple Maxx will not turn your flowers purple. Just so you know. I tried it once on a test plant and was not impressed. It did not have any more resin than any of the others and this was the only difference in the nute regiment. Good Luck
