Hermie/Pollen Question

I had a plant (starbud by hortilab) go hermie on me. I saw about 5 sacks on it. One had opened. Not sure if it pollinated the other ladies in the tent but i do see some tops that are ambering very early. Possible pollination. My question is if a lady is pollinated does she stop growing buds and resin and focus only on seeds? Also will the weed be less potent? Thanks in advance.

You'll end up with less crop, but potency won't diminish , in fact I think a smoke is much more rounded if she's thrown a few seeds.
Dont know how many seeds itll produce but when i cut the hermie down it only had one sack that had opened on the bottom the plant. I did have an oscillating fan so don't know how much it spread. How much pollen can one pod produce? Anyone know?

A lot more than you'd think. But you know, the horse has bolted, so not much point in closing the stable door now.
It's not a massive disaster by any means, some (probably just a few) free feminine seeds and a better (imo) smoke...Not a bad silver lining to this particular cloud :)

I know this is your opinion and I'm not trying to attack you just curious as to what would make it a better smoke..flavor wise.. Potency..some other variable? I know energy goes into making the seeds which is otherwise put towards bud production I mean intrinsically I would rather a happy plant that dies satisfied as opposed to the mass genocide of these virgins (un-pollinated). Human virgins are a bit strange seems the D straightens them out

Flavor wise I mean, best smelling and tasting herb I've ever grown from an accident the same as yours...potency seemed the same though.
Just my opinion; we all have different tastes ;)
(Mass genocide of virgins! Bah ha ha! )

Thanks for the help fellas. Its put my mind to rest a little. Just don't wanna be snoking a good stick only to have the joint popping every few tokes from seeds.

Im still not really sure if its been pollinated or not. But its a possibility. Plus i only see early amber on two of the six plants. Is there a way i can tell if its seeding or not? How long before seeds fully develop?

So your saying that pollination creates better smoke? Or am I misinterpreting what you posted?

I ran a few pips out doors last year to check to see if were hermie and none had pips,
So I have ran one indoors with my other plants to make sure as I have a tub full of pips from it IMG_20150608_185637.jpg
