My biggest female has balls!!!! my plants are 2 weeks into 12/12 and my largest one with female pistils has now developed balls!!! the female pre-flowers we're mainly on the top 3 nodes but now the 4th and 5th are showing male preflowers!!

is there any way to save it? it was going to be my largest yielder!

also, how long is it safe to leave hermies and unconfirmed males in a grow before they give off pollen and turn my bud to seed?

any help would be good, thanks.

I can tell you that it sucks. There is nothing you can do to save the plant. I would take it out of there as soon as possible before it pollinates your other plants.

I wouldn't say that it's safe at all to keep them in there for any amount of time. You'll never know when the balls open up and when they do, it's way too late.

Keep a very close eye on the rest of your plants and make sure that they don't cross over. If you see other ones going hermie, there is something that you are doing wrong that is stressing the plants.

Hope that helps.

im using a 250w hps! should be more than enough. they're not on a timer though....i keep the 12/12 pattern myself, sometimes i may have turned them on half hour late or so. they always get 12 on 12 off though(in flowering).

You can get dutch masters reverse and use it with penetrator. It stops seed growth, and shrivels up male flowers on hermies, it's either that or trash it.

you should really get a timer. any changes in light even 30 miniutes will confuse your plants.

sometimes plants just turn hermi. its unfortunate but theres not much else you can do about it.

and if that plant polinates your screwed. make sure yu take it down immediately. if it does polinate and you notice your other plants turning then you rgoing to have to clean your frow area with bleach before you grow again. male polin doesnt go away.

not really, it'll make the buds light and airy.
Light stress and genetics are the two main causes of hermaphrodites. Just pony up $5 for a timer
yup get a timer the more accurate the time is the better because in the natural world the sun is not late so you don't want to be either. But there is a technique where you disturb the light schedule by turning on the light for and hour or 2 on a already true female plant and this causes it to stress and produce true female seeds although its never 100% guaranteed you can sometimes get hermie seeds in the mix but thats one method of getting feminized seeds, buy anyways get a timer they are cheap and if you could afford a hps then you can a timer im sure,5-10$ will make or break your grow:mrgreen:

Cut its balls off and shoot it with a 12 gauge!

your stressing them via light cycle.
if your fems are going hermie it is most likely due to light stress.

i have had plants nearly die from lack of water/ food and no hermies. stick a pinhole of light in the 12 hour and your grow is likely screwed!

the smallest light contamination can screw up a grow!

i myself would slip a bag over that fem and yank her.
she may be the best yielding plant at the moment but if it busts a nut you may scrap the entire crop!!

yank her and get a 17 dollar timer!
digital only stay away from the dial ones! i had one stick!

cut out the bad ;)
If possibe isolate it and let it finish, it will still produce buds, then if you a pollen sack pick it and wash your hands with soap really well before touching anything or your other plants:-P:weed:
