Hermie at 7.5weeks!

Sup. Sad to say, but my plant hermed at 7.5 weeks.. Pistils are at 30% brown and trichomes are all cloudy. I really got myself into a sticky situation here.. I have just 2 plants in my tent, this herm and another 12/12 from seed which is going really well.. I really don't want it to get pollinated, but I think it would be inevitable since I would be drying and curing in the same house (I'm pretty sure the pollen would get around..)

Should I harvest right now? I flushed for 2 days now.. Would the weed be worth anything? Should I just let it go through another week? Need some advice badly here.

all that would give you is a headache sorry you can make hash or canabutter or something along those lines but cut it now before it affects any other plants if you got any

where did you get the seeds?

I would let it finish, picking as many bananas as you find, and keeping the seeds and selling it to your brother or sister. it is still smokable just not as good as the real thing

Throw it AWAY? is it really THAT bad?? the pollen sacs didn't even open yet and my buds are filled with crystals :/

I would let it finish up. Your bud production will basically stop now, but they will ripen with time. No sense in throwing it away if it's the only thing you have going.

Yo chill anonymous. Talking about throwing it away and it sucking. It only hermied 7.5 weeks into flowering.

I would pick off all of the bananas that I see with tweasers and let it finish up. It won't be as good as it would've been, but it'll still be good. Plus you can bake with it. Make brownies and knock yourself out

THIS is exactly what I'd do...

throw it away.
Don't listen to this jackass!!!!!

You can still get pleanty of decent smoke off that plant! No reason to throw it away and start from scratch, just start some new seeds now while that plant is finishing up.

I have faced similar dilemmas, and I think that the advice is different depending on what your goals are.
If you want to produce grade A bud and don't mind waiting, or are planning on distributing to a picky crowd - eliminate all naners/plant with naners asap. Grade A bud never has seeds or lost potency due to problems with hermaphrodism.
But is sounds more like you just want some home smoke - in which case I am sure what you grow, naners/seeds and all, will make you happy and in all honesty will be better than some of the shit I have bought when times were tight (and I am from BC). I think that you can still get decent bud if you let em mature.

Down the road if you decide to go bigger, it may be wise to sacrifice a few hermies to save the whole crop.

My last crop hermied and I let them mature and ended up being happy with the results.....but when I can afford good seeds I will get rid of all my hermie-genetic plants, sterilise the grow room, and start over - with the expensive seeds and a bigger crop I think that I would get rid of the hermies immediately and make butter or whatever.
