Hermi question

Just thinking of some other questions to ask. If a plant it in the vegetative stage, how hard is it to mess it up and make it turn hermi?
I try to put my plants outside during the day and then bring them in at night. They usually get around 17 hours light.
But at 'night' does the dark phase have to be uninterrupted? Are they going to be messed up if I turn on the light to use the washroom (where they are)?

A plant in the vegetative stage can get any amount of light per day, as long as it's more than 14. You could use 16, 18, 20 or 24 hours of light a day. And interuptions of light won't matter.

Once you are in the flowering stage, they must get 12 hours of uninterupted darkness every night, in order to continue flowering, and ripen.

Your method of outside and inside growing is fine, as long as you don't pick up any bugs while outside, cause they will flourish inside.

During VEGETATIVE, interruptions in the light cycle won't really hurt the plant, though it's not something you want to do anyway.

During flowering, it's imperative that your plant not be disturbed during its "sleepytime". If you need to work in the garden during the plant's dark period, use a green light so you won't wake up the missus.
