Any ideas?

I found that cluster attached to the topside of a fan leaf on one of my outdoor plants

I figured moths or stink bugs...

Are they harmful in anyway?

I haven't applied any insecticides to my outdoors yet, I'm debating on whether I should wait until I see a problem, or if I should begin an IPM

Thanks

Yes, they will eat the middle of your buds.

Pretty much this, spray BT and your good, it will slowly kill them all. Babies wont get very big before they dry up and die. But now you know what to look for so they should stand out in the future. GL

Would things like neem, azamax, mighty wash, etc... Take care of these?

Those are the only ones I saw, I obviously removed them

Thanks for all the help!

I had so much rain last year the moths were crazy. I used BT as much as I was allowed and still got some bud worms. Stay on top of them and pick those fuckers out before they make too much damage. When i see moths i cringe...they carry micro mites that can devestate a crop

Im not sure off hand how often to dose. Try the neem for now if still in veg. Once you get little mums see if they are in them. If not, you could do without the bt. Moths hatch babies early in the season and not usually later on during bud production. But keep a close eye on them

This is my first outdoor grow...

That said, I did not know that all those little white moths flying around = budworms

So I'm guessing BT once a week along with whatever other insecticides I spray?

They are in veg, have been out since the middle of may
