Here's an interesting one...

Fellow growers,

I have gone and made a foolish mistake right in the middle of flower. Today I am roughly 4 weeks in. I'm not going to post pictures as they wont help determine my next move.

Roughly two weeks ago I decided to add some back lighting in my tent. There are two timers in the equation. My HPS is on one of them and the back lighting / small fans are on another. I'm sure you can see where this is going...

Today I went into the dark space and turned off my main fan. To my absolute horror I realized I could hear the small fans still churning away. There has been light 24 hours a day for the past two weeks. To restate, I am at the 4 week mark.

Further back story. The tent got a little away from me and I ended up with no space. As such, some buds were burning from the heat coming off my HPS. I know, I know... About a week ago I cut the worst offenders off.

So, two days ago I noticed some of the buds had started to push out like they were revegging. I had assumed this was a weird Haze style reaction to losing a bud.

Fuck...

Fingers crossed and back to 12 / 12? Other suggestions?

Dude shit does happen, but sometimes we get away with it.
My mate had no timer for his grow and time and time again he'd oversleep and not put the lights on, or he'd go to work and his mrs would forget and leave them in darkness.
When the lights were on he'd switch em off by accident, he'd not water them for days, in fact he tried his best to kill those plants in every way imaginable.
Instead he ended up with a decent yield of hermie/seed free bud.
Fingers crossed you will too!
Back to 12/12 and forget about it, lesson learned.

yeah but he left them in DARKNESS, this guy left them in lights ON for 2 weeks straight. reverting them back to veg, so im guessing the hormones are getting very confused at the moment. if you decide to finish them anyways, you will most likely get a hermied batch. u can try dutch master reverse and cross your fingers that they work. follow instructions to the letter. and also look for someone on this forum who has used dutch master reverse with good results. and follow his directions as well. i hope all is well. at least we learned a lesson today and will not be making the same mistake twice rite?? ^_^

Well, I went in and cut off all the new shoots. I'd say 10-15% affected. The rest looks as I would expect. I'm actually 5 weeks in and it's a 7 week strain. Will be checking thoroughly every day for nanners and additional shoots. I'll let ya'll know how it turns out. Maybe I'll squeeze by this one.

So far so good.. There are still shoots coming out of the buds every day and I continue to cut them off but no hermie activity. After the previous watering the buds swelled up overnight right on schedule. Gonna be some funky looking nugs in the jar but I think I'm going to make it out of this.

As far as Hermies go the worst that you might get is male bananas.

I once changed my timer due to daylight savings etc and I needed it to come on at a specific time. I switched it to constant on while making the change and I didn't switch it back.

I was at a point where I was watering every 2 days. On the 5th day I had a sneaky suspicion something was a miss. So I popped my head in during dark time and my hps was blasting away.

I ended up with around 10 or so male flowers in a 4 plant grow. They were about the same time as you into flowering but with a 9 week strain.

You should be fine.
