Word is circulating in the media and in Lansing that the Walsh package of anti-patient bills may be voted on in the Senate on Thursday, December 6th during this year’s lame duck session of the legislature

i especially like this part--
Bans patients congregating togetherSB 17Jan-11Passed committee, awaiting approval by House/Senate

you can thank the groups and the drs/lawyers that worked on these--

we're fuked once they pass these--

there were groups working with the legs to draft these new amendments to our law and drs/lawyers--had input

guess they didn't help the situation much for our benefit and the legs used them for fuel to come up with more ideas to restrict our freedom and access to this medicine.....

Guess we'll have to go underground like the Hell's Angels, but instead of a 2% clubhouse we'll do 13% ;)

If they fuck things up too bad, I would like adequate time to get the fuck out of Michigan.
That is all I ask.

Hey just wondering.. what does all that mean? Some dropped.. some passed.. some dropped by one person and passed by another? What are the chances they will be passes and what does dropped and supported mean if it hasn't been voted on or whatever?

Sounds to me like hitler came back from the dead, is enslaving the pot community and granting himself immunity for his actions. When did America become nazi germany against potheads? Especially when pot can be an answer to fixing our economy!

I'd also be interested in what the net effect is from all of this. My head hurts

Actually it looks like a whole bunch of political BS with almost everything being dropped already.

Does even one thing on this list have a reasonable chance of passing?

the 4 HB Bills up for possible passage are 4834, 4851, 4853, 4856. As noted above. the ones that did not pass are dead unless re introduced between now and the last day of the year. so those are non issues.

2 of these bills only need 50% to pass, while the other 2 need 75% (Super Majority) to pass. 34, and 51 need the Super Majority. 53 and 56 need 50% to pass. Lets not forget this isnt the Hot Potato at the moment. Right to Work which has a VERY LARGE assembly Today in Lansing, and AHA (RomnBama Care) are Two Major issues. The Dems will certainly hold up any yes vote for something the Repubs want ( MMA 08 Bills to pass) for a pass on the AHA Or RtW bills being fought over.

We have allot of politics left in this last 2 weeks, and I dont see the Repukes bucking on RtW or the AHA, so I don't Suspect the MMA 08 bills will go anywhere unless something Major gives over the next few days.

Previous behavior is the best indicator of future behavior. My guess is nothing will get done ;)

it may be true nothing will get done but the article says up for vote today-- guess we'll know more by the end of the day

hold your breath!
and remember some of these bills are 'pets' of certain legs....and groups ....and they have intense interest in seeing these thru not to mention our beloved AG that takes personal interest in keeping mmj users reigned in--and in court regardless of the law

the thing I find the most irony in is turning on the tv today and seeing the mmj issue all over the major dis-information channels--timing?

i think our AG is sending mich a message : "don't even think about it--" and giving patients the finger

My first thought after reading that was "GREAT"! At first glance it looked like most of the controversial items were dropped.

After reading your guys/gals comments, now I'm not so sure.

What in particular looks bad to you guys?

Thanks for posting this buckaroo.

Might be time to move out west. I hear you can have your pick of jobs if you're not a meth head and still have your teeth.
