i got a question about feeding the plants the nutes, according to the MG directions. i have to feed it every week, so does that mean, imma feed it with the nutes once a week, then like use plain water to water them plants when is needed? or do i use the water mixed with nutes everytime. kinda confused in this part.

I am unsure of that myself. I would think that it would be o.k. to use MG once a week, and use fresh water in between, as long as you don't over water. Depending on how much water you use per watering, just to make it easier, just alternate, this watering use MG, next watering use fresh.

You should add SmokeNGrow Nutes to that list. Click the link in my sig to go there. And check the prices while you're at it! ;)

I have been using them. They are good. I will be starting a thread on them soon Focusing on the flowering end.

would alternating be alright with the plant? and how i am gonna water is til water drains out of the bottom. is this ok? and if alternating is ok too, do i water with the nutes mixed water same way, like til it drains out?

It depends on how large of the container they are in and how often you plan on watering. If they are in kind of large containers I wouldn't water until it drains out, I would think that it would take too long to dry back out and the roots could get root rot. I would water until it's fairly moist, and then let it dry out, but not too dry, and water again. I don't think it would hurt the plants by alternating from fresh water and fertilized water. I would think that in a 3 gallon container you could give them a full 16oz of water at each watering every 3 to 4 days depending on how large the plants are and how fast they take up the water.

look into the technaflora- recipee for success. i think its around 30-40 bucks. its a great deal, its specific for marijuana, and it will definatly way out perform mg. im not gonna be one of the dudes thats just like miracle grow sucks. because its really not that bad. it is better than nothing, but you get what you pay for. if your using mg soil you have to add perlight and vermiculite or it will burn your plants, and if your using this soil its already got the nutes in it so you could probably get away without adding any nutes your whole grow. at the very least dont give them any nutes during veg, only flower. so if you do chose mg or some other cheap shit just look for one with less N and more PK. really i promise you wont need veg nutes with this soil. you will be much better off spending a few bucks on some proper soil and nutes tho. 2 more things to say 1, you get what you pay for and 2, it takes money to make money dude. trust me its worth it. oh and was just wondering what are u using for lights?

Some info i picked up to share with you. Stages of growth and optimal npk.

Seedlings = 2-1-2
Early veg = 4-2-3
Mid veg = 10-5-7

Cycle changeover = 7-7-7

Early flowering = 5-10-7
Mid flowering = 6-15-10
Late flowering = 4-10-7

This is the regime my plants conform to.

Nice info Jimmy, (+ rep for ya) glad to see that posted on here. I didn't even think about using different strengths of nutes/fertilizers compared to what stage it is in. I just went with a basic, seedling = no fertilizers, 3 weeks into veg start with something that is higher in nitrogen, and when you switch over to flowering you would just automatically switch the nutes/fertilizers over to something that is high in phosphorus and a medium amount of potassium. What would you consider early veg, mid veg, when to do cycle changeover, early flower, mid, and late flowering? At what point in the growth do you look at a plant and say, "Yea, that's in the mid veg stage right now". I would imagine that you go by how tall the plant is, or either by how many weeks the plant is into veg/flowering when you make that decision. So if you could post those numbers that would be great.

i think by mid veg he means in the middle of when you plan on flowering say your veging 6 weeks, mid veg would be 3 weeks. maybe im wrong but this would be my guess. makes sense to me.

Yea, that's what I was thinking too sk8. I was looking for "in general" terms for an average plant that other people (noobs) could look at and get an idea of how far along their plant is and use it as a table guide. I would like to be able to get a whole list of all the nutes/fertilizers that was mentioned in this forum as well as peoples feeding regimen and make a nice little reference book in case there was a question that someone couldn't remember the answer to and all you have to do is flip to a certain page and all the basic info, plus advanced info is right there without any of the extra b.s. that no one needs. Have some graphs, and things like that...lol make it scientific.

Hello. I am in the process of building my growbox. If possible, can you upload a pic of urs or direct me to a site where I can get more growbox info? I'd appreciate it a lot. RC247
