Hempy vs. Waterfarm

In mid-August I transferred two Dutch Passion Twilights from their smaller Hempy buckets to larger quarters. One was placed in a 2 gal bucket: the other in a 2 gallon Waterfarm.

The conditions in which they were raised were identical - a balcony with southern exposure and ample sunlight. They were fed the same nutrient mix, and were both placed in flower on September 2.

I used aquarium gravel and hydroton pellets rather than the hempy standard vermiculite/perlite mix, so that may have also had an impact on the final growth of the Hempy Twilight. However, based on this I would say that if you are only going to grow one or two plants it makes sense to spend the $50-60 for a Waterfarm rather than setting up a hempy bucket. The return from one good harvest will more than make up for the difference.
