Hempy bucket 12/12 from seed questions

Hey all, haven't been here on a while but my situation has changed since then. I am now unfortunately working with a smaller area then I was, both in footprint and height. So my question is about 12/12 from seed in hempy buckets. I always run hempy buckets, very happy with the results, and I would like to Continue this method. But being I only have one room now I would like to run 12/12 from seed so I can still have a perpetual grow going. Questions regard the roots reaching the rez in the short period of veg, using 1 gallon buckets I have, and how to feed a 12/12 plant. Also is it advised to top a plant grown this way? I see many threads about this same scenario but never hear any mention about the roots reaching the res etc. I usually start them in solo hempy then transplant to final bucket. Any help or insight would be much appreciated, thank you

Heya bro mix in about a third vermiculite with your perlite.It will hold some moisture while your roots grow down into the resivoir.Ive germed directly in 3gallon pots of perlite this way.

I'm running some in 2litres 12/12 from seed. They seem to hit the reservoir about the same time as usual. About 2 weeks. Mine took about 4-5 weeks to show flower though. They grew to around a foot and a half then started flowering. I use lucas ratio with gh flora micro and bloom. As far as topping goes, i don't imagine out would hurt. I believe you can top or lst all the way up to flower. I didn't do anything to mine this time and they are all pretty bushy.
