  • I see springtails on the stems when drying not sure if it's on bud. i see tons of them ,white little insect and they cant fly.
    humidity 50 temperature 70
i chop my whole plant and hang it upside down and when i went in this morning(i always notice them there that why i kinda harvest early) they were all crawling on top of the stem and around it.

Firstly springtails are detritivorous.

Meaning they feed on decaying matter.

Normally they stay within moist soil feeding on dead roots and other things like some fungi.

Are you sure its springtails?

Do they jump around when you startle them?
Its a defence mechanism to get them away from harm.

They don't look like springtails to me but it is hard to see. I am just getting rid of springtails right now and I have never seen them on the stalk; always in the dirt. I may not be seeing them on the stalk because they are pretty tiny. If you are lucky they may all congregate where the stalk is cut and stay out of the buds. IF they are springtails, you will have to do some major cleaning before your next crop and spray some pyrethrin around.

They don't look like springtails to me either. But you're pic isnt that great. When you try to smash them do they jump? The little are slow moving but they jump / spring really quick.
