I have this purple lush that I had in a smaller 1 gallon pot and I woke up to its being crusty and withered.... Is it to late or what can I do to save it.... It's about 3 inches tall

Don't transplant. Lookd like you either have it to close to lights or you over fertilized them. Don't give any ferts at this stage. Let it dry out a little and give only water. Dont water to saturate the whole pot. The roots only need a minimum amount of water. Maybe give a half a cup approximately 3 to 4 inches away from stem to stimulate roots to spread. Then wait till dry and repeat.

As long as there's still some green in the middle of the little baby it may come back and if it does it will still grow fine. I've often left what I thought was a goner to grow or not and been surprised.

Keep it under lower light conditions but make sure it's getting it's 18 hours a day. A 23W - 6500K CFL a few inches over it in a closet somewhere for a while might give it a chance but not full sunlight.

Good luck!

I have a 1000w hps with cool tube and the dimmable ballast Mylar up and a box fan in a closet no vent fan just a open door
Do you shoot gophers with a Howitzer too? :)

No wonder your plant is cooked. I use CFLs until they are a foot tall or so then they go under a 400W then another one of those when I figure they are getting too big for just one then I pull out the big gun, a 1000W, to finish them off with if they are getting too big for 2 - 400s.

If all you got is a 1000W you should invest in some CFLs to get them going and do a few plants at least or get smaller lights so you are not wasting so much light and electricity. Only the light that's hitting green is doing anything so with one tiny plant 99.9% of the light is going to waste. For what the power costs to run it it would be lots cheaper to buy some pot. I calculated the cost of my 1000W at almost $90/mth at 12 hours per day and 22.9 cents per KWH. Add 50% for an 18 hour day.

Things are a lot clearer now.
