My seedling has yellow leaves and shes only 2 weeks old not sure what i should do! I posted in plant problems but no reply yet. Yellowing is only on bottom 2 leaves( not the sprout leaves) which leads me to believe its a nitrogen deficiency since i havent started nutes. I dont want to start if she isnt old enough or if that isnt the issue. Could somebody help me out ?

are you using ferts already? Kind of looks like burning. I say just make sure the soil stays correctly watered and just give it water. It'll grow out of it. calm down. its a weed. it doesn't want to die.
I have only been giving it water no nutes yet what so ever, water every 2 days and those 2 leaves have gotten worse since i posted this morning and watered right after posting. Soil npk is 0.2 - 0.08 - 0.08 so extremly light mix. Could this be nitrogen deficiency?

I really don't think so. I really think you should just wait it out. What kind of light are you using? That's the mistake I made. I was giving my little plants way too much light. 85k lumens. Which is equivalent to the desert i guess... So I took a couple bulbs out and that helped. I grew with t5's.

It never hurts to try some Superthrive. I am not smart enough to know why Supertrhive works or what all it is good for. For me it helps with a host of issues and has never harmed a plant. My experience with starter soils is that they all work just fine, including Miracle Grow. If you feel like it is a nitrogen problem worm castings won't burn anything. But, seedlings never need ferts. Another thing that would be cheap to try is to use distilled water. Usually, if everything else grows with the local water, cannabis should also. Cannabis seems to be a pretty forgiving plant. I have accidentally dropped seeds in the dirt and had seedlings just pop up.

I have used distilled water from the beginning and only have 4 23w cfls so heat isnt an issue i only have 1 plant so plenty of light for a 2 week old seedling but this has gotten worse since it started 3 days ago. 1 pic i took just now the other was only this morning

Those plants don't look that bad to me. I wouldn't worry about the bad leaves. I don't know how cold it is in Canada right now. In the winter, even inside I have to put a heating pad under seedlings to get them to grow. If you haven't added nitrogen, it looks like it is going to work out. Those leaves are really dark green, which can mean too much nitrogen but not enough to burn. But, if you haven't added any, that can't be a problem..

You should wait the medium dry out well before watering again. Maybe you ph is flutuating and she get lock up. did you check the runnof with ph and ppm meter?

Also, 4x 23w might be too much for seedlings this size. I run my seedling with just one single 40w clf until week 3 them I use more light.

I agree with the lighting idea. Plus I think you should just relax and stop starring at it. I know you just keep looking at it, expecting the yellow leaves to just turn green unexpectedly, and everything to go back to normal. But those leaves will just die. But you have more growth coming out the top. So just be patient.

It's hungry bro! It's a telltale sign of the plant eating itself. When they start yellowing at the bottom leaves like that, they're eating it's own reserves! Nute burn is crispy yellow tips and it starts with new growth not old. At two weeks now you should be feeding for sure. none of the bag soils that say they'll go for a few weeks really do. I use the promix ultimate organic soil instead of Foxfarm these days because of the price point and it's basically the same stuff. Get that baby some food. Also make sure that you're letting it dry out completely between waterings by picking up and making sure there not still wet

I was the same way for a long time about giving nutes to seedlings. But now, no matter what strain, I'll feed 1/2 strength after first week, then if willing full strength next week. It's crazy how resilient most are, but it if it slows growth after 1/2 strength just chill on nutes for a few waterings, they'll bounce back. Good luck! bongsmilie

Your plant is not hungry, do not add nutes!!I It has to much light and has been over watered. You are trying way to hard, remove a couple lights and let it be for awhile. Two week old plant don't get nute deficient. Relax!!

I agree with this guy. If that seed fell into the ground in nature it would grow just fine. Sometimes caring too much is worse. 2 weeks old plants don't need nutes. Please. For your own sake just wait it out. Just wait. You're going to give yourself a stomach ache worrying about it.
I've grown TONS of different plants, veggies fruit trees, etc... weed is by far the easiest thing I've grown. It's also the most over thought.

You think 4-23 w cfls is too much light for a seedling... And yes a 2 week old plant can get deficient! Where are you people coming from today?!

is that in coco ?

Distilled water can cause an issue if you don`t preload the coco then it has zero nutes most seeds can go for 1 to 2 weeks and then need feeding

distilled water causes more problems than tap water as tap water has some minerals and nutes in it

Distilled water I would add plant start when setting up the coco or feed a tiny bit by week 2
