K, two WW plants vegged indoors for 6 months
(i know, long time) I moved outside July 28,
Ive been watering every couple days, plants are
very healthy. Took a two week vacation (had my brother
watch over them while i was gone) but today i check
them out, and still no buds.... Im getting pretty
worried becasue I live near Calgary, AB, Canada
and frost will be an issue in late september, and if
im correct, it would take around two months to
flower.... Ide really hate for two six foot plants
to go to waste. Any ideas guys???

cover them with a plastic cover(not garbage bags); use a plastic barrel or trash can.

Ya have to wait for mother nature to adjust the photo period to 12x12 then it will flower.
How many hrs of light and dark are getting up there?

wow, ide have to cover them till like september
the 10th before its 12/12 up here. we will likely
have frost before this. FUCK, i gues im gonna have
to move them inside somehow... but i dont think i have a
roof big enough if they are gonna double LOL.

maybe just take a few big clones to keep em shorter?
then move them inside....

really? they are planted IN the soil
and we ususaly have snow before the
end of october over here. although its
a lot colder in quebec. i should mention
that these are out in a remote location,
not in my back yard.

but if they can live that long withouut freezing,
i would be so happy haha. :)

seriously, thanks :D

just because the outdoor (or natural) light schedule is not 12/12 doesn't mean the plant won't flower....... i have a hindu kush that started flowering in late july when the days were about 14/10 (california)...... however i have another plant from bagseed that hasn't started to flower at all and the days here are about 13.5/10.5 approximately now. so it depends on the strain. just hang in there buddy..... oh and good luck~~

The light cycle doesn't have to reach 12/12 to initiate your flower period outside. They should start very soon. It's more a combination of the days consistently getting shorter along with the the diminished light intensity from the sun as the fall closes in on us. You might just have to cross your fingers if this strain is untested outside where you are. Unless its a freak fall, I don't really agree that you could leave them out much past late Sept or early-mid Oct. (Born in AB, pent the first half of my life right where you are, now in Ontario.) I'd harvest at or right after the first real frost. After that, you know how quickly the cold (and wind) sets in on the prairies. Just my opinion.

Just cover them! And keep it up as well even after they start flowering.
If you have to you can hurry them into finishing if you shorten from 12 to 11 after a while . They think the frost s coming. I use tarps to cover but if they are in pots I just bring them inside and shove them in the dark.
I can't risk frost either. bongsmilie
