Help with watering.

I am going on vacation for about 5 days and was wondering is there any mechanism i can use to automatically water my plants or allow them to soak up as much water as they need during the 5 days I will be gone. My plants need watered every 2 days, preferably every day. Yes I am a noob and did not think about this in the equation of it all...

You shouldn't be watering everyday anyway. That's not good for the plant at all. You should be fine to not water it for five days. I water my girls about once every 4-5 days, you never want to over-water.

a hydroponic system :) lol...

dunno man , u could buy a very low GPH pump and a digital timer, and get it to water for only like 5 to 10 seconds then stop... seriously , dunno other than that.. but seriously like the guy above me said, every day watering is too much , they should be able to last the 5 days, then just give em a good watering when u get back.

at least u dont have a friend to water it

loose lips sink ships

good job keeping it a secret
agreed, dont even get a family member to do it.. people get pissed.. people get into arguments.. and sometimes when that happens, people can become real assholes.

I've posted this before, but will do so again.

Get yourself some plastic bottles, milk jugs work great for this. You need some aquarium airline tubing and valves. Drill a hole into the side of the bottle/jug, near the bottom. Silicone in one aquarium valve. Stick some tubing onto the end of it. Set the jug up higher than your plants. Open the valve and set your drip rate (one drop every few seconds should do it). Et voila. Automatic gravity drip feed for cheap. For multiple plants get a manifold.

Hook it up to a drip system..... Then buy one of those digital timers at a hydro store near you (one that you can have 8 different on/off periods and can control each day) Than just hook up the drip system as normal then just set the timer for like Monday than Thursday or whatever. Lets say schedule one comes on Monday at 7 a.m. than turns off 7:30a.m. same day than next schedule just set it for same time but on a different day of your choice. Do you see what I'm trying to say..lol

im liken the ideas and thoughts so far but let me explain why i need to water everyday. I know this is horrible for plants and im a noob so i didnt plan on this happening. But i grew two plants in one 1 maybe 2 gallon pot and i have two of them set up the same way. So its 2 plants each in each 1.5 gallon pot(x2) for a total of four plants. I will let them go for a few days without watering an i begin to see wilt. Thats the only reason I am so nervous. also these plants are 3 weeks into flowering and are about 3 ft tall each.... but are budding something amazing. I dont know how it worked out so well for being so tight together. Everyone is a female too....

It comes up on Google often as first hits. Make your pix attachments rather than hotlinking via Photobucket. Rolli gives us pretty much unlimited bandwidth to do this, so, take advantage.
