help with seedlings

Just germinated 6 seeds, under a 250hps. I used paper towel, and then into rapid rooters. This is my 2nd day in rapid rooters, but they are bending. Did i over water?

That's a strong light for seedlings......should be using t'5's or other fluorescent light source for starting seeds inside.

If you have nothing else, then the 250 is what you got. Just make sure it is off the plants....14 inches about.

I use rapid rooters - don't use the paper towel method first. Place the seed directly into RR's next time. The rapid rooters should be moist, not water logged - i use a spray bottle.

They could be reaching for light, or the light is too strong for seedlings.

Without a pic, it's hard to determine the cause or help to solve the problem.

If they're stretching, go ahead and plant them in dirt/pots (rapid rooters) covering most of the stem.

there is no support at the base of the stalk. that hole is not helping your issue.

Dont know for sure but put those things in solo cups and cover with soil, the light may be shinning down through the hole on to the little bit of root you have.
I did mine in those same cubes and put in 3"x3"x3" and let them push themselves through the 1/4" of soil that i put overtop, plus a seedling heat mat, as well as ghetto domes (sandwich bags and rubber bands for 3 days to get to stage your @.)

I agree with blazd to put them in soil now (ones in pics 4, 5 and 6 or the bending ones). I would put the soil in enough to cover the rapid rooters, holes, and some of the stem, but not enough to bury the seedlings entirely.

I wouldn't do the toothpicks and zip ties though - they should stand up by their own.
