whats the dimensions of your room? what medium, hydro/pots of soil? if soil minimum of 1 square ft per 3gallon pot, sog you can do 4 plants in a square foot, sog you can get more plants and vegetate for a shorter time, but water can be a pain is you have say 40 little plants, my first sog in soil went like this, 5inch square pots, about 3/4gallon, fit 8 on a 10"x20" nuresery flat(doubled up) so its easier to collect runnoff water and move a tray of plants around, and lollipop(basically make drumstick shaped single cola plants) you can achieve anywhere from 1/4 to 1oz per plant, 10 grams should be just fine though, sog is excellent for height restricted grows and faster turnaround frm shorter vegetative grow periods

Along with morris's good questions .....

And what do you want out of the op?
More work with a 4 tray perpetual grow on a daily basis than say a 2 tray system with a longer veg cycle and larger plants.
Do you want to automate or be more hands on?
Fast or slow? Big or small plants?
Multi lvl's on rolling racks?

Just like you, we need more info.

ya all good/necessary points.. Ill add one small note: if maximizing number of babies per volume of the room, you should engineer a setup whereby you have a 'stadium' configuration --> successively higher and higher levels/shelves that expand up and away from the center of the room, this way you can access (from the middle) all of the plants and you are using the z dimension as well.. if you just use the floor (x-y space) you will be limited to number of plants, but using z (height as well, you can get more plants in).. make sure the ventilation is good enough.. and if all plants will be on same life cycle (schedule - no veg/flower separation) then just remember to rotate the plants around to different slots every other day.. good luck!

Hang all of the lampst, hopefully they have cooling flanges, and run ducting however you see fit for your setup. I would do a triangle and run 1 fan pushing one fan pulling air from inside to the outside, and put a carbon filter on the exhaust or intake to prevent smell from going onto the street. Intake air from high up.
If you're using soil, square pots are great for efficiency. Hydro will probably produce more yield though.
