Help with old PH Meter

Hey all

So first I want to say, I initially bought this Milwaukee PH55 about 5 years ago thinking I'd only ever use it once, so never did any calibrating or even keeping it wet/in a solution (i know i'm a noob lol). I used it for two small grows (2 plants each) then never again.

I just pulled it out of storage and put it in some water and it eventually gave me a reading that made sense (it started at 9.0 but in a minute settled at about 8.0 which makes sense for tap water in my area). I don't expect this thing to give me dead on readings, but do you think it would be fine for another small grow, just to get me close to the right PH?

Or am I likely gonna get far off readings and should buy new?

Thanks for the help all

I personally wouldn't trust a 5 year old pen with a probe that has been taken care of, let alone one that has been neglected. id get a new one.

if you are going to use it, id at least get one of them ph drop test kits to confirm you are in the range you want.

good luck
