I have been growing outside off and on for aboot 10 yrs.I live in the eastern time zone,so it is perfect seasons for growing.I started my seed as usual inside with flouresceent light 24 hrs. I put them outside in a semi wooded area that stays a little muddy til summer hits. I scattered plants here and there only puttin 2 or 3 in a spots because of rippers I guess my question is why is acouple spots not growing in height.one spot is doing well.the other spots are stayin about 6inchs tall grant it that they only been outside for two weeks. I tried clearing trees around the spot. I also spread wood ashes around the stunted plants because I heard it would provide nutrients for the plants to take off. any suggestions on how I can get these plants to start growing in height. should I put cowshit around them or some kind of fertilizer?

wood ashes are alkaline, and do not contain N. try rabbit shit. make a donut-like top dressing around plant. as far as the size............
that's the location. forget it. live and learn. some spots do better than others.

could be you have used that spot b4 and need to rejuvinate the soil. hard to say with what you told us. get some guano thats not real hot and if your soil is like clay you may need a soil buffer.
